Background and story on that according to CR: An original multi-media project with a manga and anime, the Hamatora anime revolves around a group of humans who possess a special hereditary power known as “Minimum,” and are known as “Minimum Holders.” Minimum Holders Nice and Murasaki run a detective agency called “Hamatora,” and when they are hired to investigate a certain case, they cross paths with an old acquaintance, Art, who is chasing the same case as a police officer. As they investigate deeper into each of the cases, they discover that both cases are related, and that all the victims are Minimum Holders, like themselves. Also same designs as Blood Lad. Should be fun. |

Also of note, as it isn't on the main list; Aniplex has "World Conquest" (Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda) and "Nisekoi." http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-12-19/aniplex-usa-to-stream-world-conquest-nisekoi-anime Crunchyroll currently has 7 question boxes. We can probably assume that two of those are for "Wake Up, Girls!" though. EDIT: Also, "Future Card Buddyfight" has a simuldub going here: http://www.youtube.com/user/fcBuddyfight?feature=watch EDIT2: Buddyfight's Hulu link: http://www.hulu.com/future-card-buddyfight |

^^^ I must say card game adaptations really aren't my favorite 'genre' if it is a genre. Fantasista Dolls showed you can have a fun show around cards but at its core, it is not really something that interests me. Card game players might love it but ZX Ignition is not on my plan to watch list. With Thursday being a very busy day again in winter, I can easily see myself forgetting to watch it but I may try the first episode in case it is somehow surprisingly good. |

Toshiba is streaming Double Circle via Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFud1MbwWOE It premiered earlier in December and will be 6 episodes long. The second episode will be coming sometime in early January. Stark700 said: If both are picked up by Aniplex then I predict CR will grab these two titles. Wake Up Girls and Silver Spoon S2 are also highly likely to be announced so I'm predicting these four shows to fill a few boxes. After today's announcements, CR has 3 boxes open. Assuming that they don't add more, I could definitely see those two being added, with the last being No-Rin, Wizard Barristers, or Sakura Trick. Of course, there is also the possibility that Daisuki could get exclusive rights. They've been rather quiet, so... I'm glad CR got Z/X; I want to see how it's done. Admittedly, it seems liked one of those titles that you see a few PVs for and promptly forget about. Adaptations of card games can easily go wrong or boring, unfortunately, but I'm hoping for the best. EDIT: According to comments at the end of this Crunchyroll page, World Conquest is going to CR and Nisekoi to the 'usual' channels, indicating CR and Daisuki. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-819519/winter-2014-anime?pg=46 |

But to each his/her own. Do Card game shows tend to do well in sales? Or are they not intended to sell a lot of discs? |
Jan 5, 2014 2:57 AM

This isn't the sales thread but one can assume that overall merchandise sales are important. For anime based on a card (physical and/or mobile/console/pc based) game, like anime based off of novels or manga, the game sales may be more important than anime disc sales if it is more meant as an advertisement for the games. But disc sales never hurt if they are solicited for sale then the obvously hope to sell some. |

Funimation has more! http://www.funimation.com/blog Strangely both CR and Funi have Nobunagun. We’ve added three more shows to our 2014 Winter Simulcast line-up: Buddy Complex, Nobunagan, and NO-RIN. Here’s a little information about each below. Buddy Complex comes from the studio that brought you Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Code Geass, and Escaflowne. The series will be begin streaming on our site TODAY at 10pm ET for our EVS members. The series will air on Mondays at 10pm ET going forward, available first for EVS members and then for free streaming a week later. Look for it on http://funimation.com/buddy-complex! Now, let’s take a look at Nobunagan: Nobunagan will be simulcasting Sundays at 10am ET on http://funimation.com/nobunagan. The first episode will be available to watch on our site later this afternoon. Hamatora also looks likely, with that weird region distribution. Sakura Trick? I'd be surprised. Although being a TBS show it's possible. AoD had quite a few of them, but most of these were also ones that disappeared on transition to animax. |

I've heard suggestions that Buddy Complex may be shared with Crunchyroll, as Funimation has placed the 'one week later for regular viewers' restriction on it. Daisuki is also a possibility, I suppose. Under the assumption that thy AREN'T shared, the only non-short shows are Wizard Barristers and Youkai Watch. There isn't much on Sugar Soldier and Romantica Clock, but those are probably shorts, and RC airs in February anyway. (Precure premiers then as well, but no way will that happen.) I wonder if the short series Go! Go! 575 got picked up. The website did say "we have no sponsors, so we made this out of own pockets." They might want to do what they can to negate the expenses, and some online international streaming wouldn't hurt. |
