| Im thinking about watching Shakugan no Shana but i would like to here what other people thought of it before starting it as it has 3 seasons and i dont want to start it then drop it. I was also wondering if i should watch the dub or sub, i know alot of you are all anti-dub but i would like a non bias opinion on the dub. I usually watch subs 90% of the time but i fancy a change. | Since you don't score your anime, I don't know what kind of anime you are into but let me put it like this: In my opinion, it is worth the watch. You have action, romance and comedy, everything to a satisfying extent. However, it is also somewhat generic. I watched it when I hadn't watched a lot of anime yet, so I enjoyed the hell out of the first two seasons but I'm not sure how I'd feel about it nowadays. The third season isn't as good as the first two since a lot of new characters are suddenly appearing and it feels like they cut out an important part between season 2 and 3 (I think this is actually the case, I'm not sure though). So if you want an anime which requires a lot of thinking, you shouldn't watch Shakugan no Shana, but if you want to see great battles and just enjoy what you're watching, it is worth the watch. Can't say anyhting about the dub since I'm biased. |

| I'm trying to get into it but the first few episodes are so god damn boring I can't be bothered to try and finish it. That, and the majority opinion says that it's just an average anime so I'm not sure why I'd bother in the first place. |

| The first season is ok-ish. The second got so boring that I could get myself to watch the third one. So, in my opinion it doesn't worth it at all. Go and watch something more interesting. |
| I loved the first two seasons, the third season is... okay, if you would like you could skip through some of the episodes in the third season but the third season isn't as bad as people make it out to be; it's not an excuse to miss out on the first two seasons. Just give it a shot, if you don't like it by the end of the first season then it's probably not for you, though after watching Shakugan no Shana watch Zero no Tsukaima, it's like Shakugan no Shana but a bigger emphasis on romance Watch it sub, they switch up some of the cast members between season one and two so it sounds weird. Basically it's a Shonen with some romance, it's a very beloved series from a bunch of people especially back when it was really popular, I'd watch it if I were you |

| i dont believe it is worth the time really but if you have have time on your hand to watch alot of anime then you could check it out otherwise i couldn't really recommend watching it. |

| Yes it is. Only the first season is worth watching, there are parts that you should skip, the school parts are the problem in the show, its still good, its also worth watching because of Shana. |

| Shakugan no Shana is my 2nd favourite anime, and I am a fan-boy. I will, however, talk like a neutral (or i'll try). SnS has a very intriguing and good story, that kept me attracted to it until the end. It has world-swap thing, which hasn't been done very much, so it is still quite unique. The whole deal behind the show is quite dark and dramatic, but it still has its relaxing and cheerful momments. The main characters are very nice and they all get a great development. The antagonists are very good, too. They aren't just "we act evil, because we can". There are reasons, revealed later on. Also, SnS has some of the best music I have ever heard in an anime, matching each scene perfectly. The animation was done by J.C. Staff, so you bet it is amazing! However, the main problems are: 1) The first half of the 2nd season is kinda boring. 2) There are too many characters in the 3rd season. Aside from that, if you like action-drama-romance anime, you should definitely give it a watch. |

| I watched all 75 eps in 3 days once. Granted that was back in the days where I could still marathon anime like no tomorrow :s I think the first two seasons are kind of worth it, they're reminiscent of Zero no Tsukaima in the way that they both have Kugimiya tsunderes as main heroines and both are fantasy, though Shakugan no Shana is darker and less lewd/funny. The last season however takes the story in a pretty unexpected direction and feels pretty weird to watch. Though if you've gotten that far you'll probably want to see how it ends anyway but it isn't really quite as good as the first two seasons. tl;dr - If you have the time for it and nothing better to watch, sure. It's not a masterpiece but if you keep your expectations reasonable then it's not bad. |

| Unlike modern day tsundere that is used today Shana have believable story and development. The world building is good too. If i have to compare it then if you enjoy Index in term of world building then you will enjoy Shana. |
