Haha~ The majority of the time in anime you'll find Kogals rather than Ganguro girls. Kogal fashion is still around as well - but sadly a lot of it's aspects have been crossed over into Ganguro territory nowadays as it's stayed more prominent while kogal has kind of slowly fizzled out. Though yeah, most of the ganguro girls in anime are usually two things; sluts and bitches. But, they usually have a secret good side to them, like the group in Super GALS who bothers the main characters from time to time but ends up helping them a lot as well. Kogal can be cute as long as the girl doesn't have dyed/bleached hair and keeps her natural skin color and tone. The actual fashion is pretty good on some girls, especially in anime (biribiri's socks, for example, are from kogal fashion - all of super gals given it's a show about kogal culture, so much else), but in real life too. Ganguro is just all bad though. |
