This was absolutely brilliant. Suitably melancholic, going back on the hollywood facade Anno created in 2.0 and returning to disturbing imagery and psychological horror. Bit short, though. Hope Final isn't 3 years away. The pacing was a bit wonky. While the scenes we got were powerful, they were clearly too short for full explanations. This isn't a long shot off of why the original series was lauded by many as pretentious and difficult to understand. I can imagine it has something to do with the change of plot somewhere down the line that lead to the movie not resembling the preview at the end of 2.0 at all. Saying that, I will watch this again. It was gorgeous. I love the art assets and almost giger-esque design, the dark and dreary feeling that the movie puts out, the huge shift from what Evangelion was... It was just great to see something that was as far from just a remake as possible, and I'm glad Rebuild is taking that path. 4.0 preview was crap, I hope it's a proof of concept. |

Ehh I won't go on a rant given what I have to say has been said by a few other posters, but it is highly unlikely I'll watch anymore of this..just it felt more like a fanservice job than anything with some stuff changed in manners that don't make sense and a piss poor explination behind the last 14 years. Maybe I'll watch the 2nd ep, but this ep was terrible for me. |

I agree with you on some of these points but the movie isn't brilliant until I see 4.0. However I will say some of the scenes were extremely well done, and surpassed even 2.0 for impact (pun intended). The good ones (imo) are in the spoiler below -The scene where shinji ascends lilith's/Mark6's corpses to pull out the spears. -The scene where karowu gets killed Also I hope they clear up what's going on with asuka by that I mean Was the blue eye due to contamination from 1.0? Why are those blue crosses inside of the eva.. etc |

I loved it! I enjoyed watching this new apocalyptic world unfold through Shinji's perspective. I enjoyed everyone's new distaste around Shinji, and am eager to see what else caused their pain in the past that was influenced by Shinji's action. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the film. Seeing the old and decaying Nerv headquarters feels like taking a trip through Dante's Hell. I also enjoyed the lighting in each scene, making each of the visuals seem more realistic. I also enjoyed it because there are a lot of questions left unanswered. As an audience, we are pulled into this film wanting to know more about each character and their past, and crave for the answers. In this film I would say knowing less means more! The less we know, the more fascinated we are with each character and with other elements in the film that were left unanswered. Overall, I can see why people people don't like this film. But calling it terrible is far beyond the truth. |

I would understand all the hate towards this film IF it would have been the final film of the series, but there is still one film left to truly base anything on. Yes, the film doesn't answer a lot of questions and yes it would be justifiable to say that the film doesn't fit your personal preference in terms of narrative style; but to say it was terrible because it purposefully left out information or because your expectations weren't met is nothing less than selfish and narrow-minded. Take for example, Star Wars Episode V; a film that suffered a lot of criticism upon release because it was the middle film. In other words, it didn't exactly have a "true" beginning or ending, per se. It was also criticized for its dark plot-line. Overall, it just didn't satisfy people's expectations. Fast forward 30 years and now the film is considered the best film in the entire saga within the context of the entire project. 2001 A Space Odyssey was similarly met with a mixed response upon release but is now considered a defining piece of cinema. I would also like to consider the fact that, initially, this film was going to be shown with the final film. That would explain why it is such a paradigm shift from what came before in the series, and why it's so confusing upon first viewing it. It might almost be a necessary "prelude" to the finale (where everything will be revealed). Of course, we won't know until the final film is released, but until then, we need to be careful and mindful with how we view the film. |

Puts my geeky side of the Star Wars franchise to shame for not knowing ESB was thrown under the bus, but now that would make sense considering its anti-climactic ending. Since I'm used to hearing the criticism for ROTJ, it just never occurred to me. Hm, after reading this, I think you actually motivated me to re-pick up this film. Curious however, what made you rate this higher over the last two Rebuilds? |

I really enjoyed it! After reading the negative reviews I was pretty worried about watching it. I am going to place my full thoughts in a spoiler so anyone who hasn't watched it won't get the plot ruined for them XD I was sad to see misato go from the genki (albeit slightly psychologically damaged) girl that we know and love to a cold and harsh older lady. But that's okay! I am sure that she will redeem herself. Ritsuko's hairstyle was certainly.....interesting... Was that woman who said "I hate younger men" maya!? I really liked Sakura, and I hope to see more of her in the next movie. Kaworu was as creepy-awesome as always..I can never tell what his true intentions are...is he truly altruistic? I like to think so. Shinji at the movie was just....I had a good old cry :( he was worse than he was in the EoE movie. I know that Asuka is pretty damaged by this point, but she is so nasty to him :( I just want to give Shinji a hug :( it doesn't help that he seems to be the only "normal" person left now (by normal I mean generally friendly, maybe screwed up but at least not completely emotionally detatched). The art was beautiful and Utada Hikaru's end theme was just awesome. I am hoping that Rebuild 4.0 will be great but I don't know if I can last that long! |

If this was the last movie i would be seriously pissed, will have to wait and watch 4.44 to rate it properly. Besides i find the lack of the cruel angel thesis disturbing. Hope they include it as closure for the fourth movie Ps: Honestly, i never had a problem with the original serie. I don't see the need for a ''rebuild'', although i would be lying if i was't excited while watching the first movie |

Curious however, what made you rate this higher over the last two Rebuilds? Thank you for your response! I am glad that my comment, at the very least, sparked a little bit of thoughtful contemplation regarding the film (as it is the nature of the Eva franchise in general to spark debate and conversation). As to why I rated 3.0 higher than 1.0 or 2.0: To put it shortly, it personally impacted me more than both previous films did. Which is interesting, because 1.0 is actually, still, my favorite part of Rebuild, but that's mostly because it's the closest thing we have to an NGE remake (and closest film to replicate its subtlety in characterization, which is what I love about the series.). 2.0, on the other hand, while I appreciate its orientation towards action and having a faster pace, especially in regards to its character development; I found some of the changes from the original series kind of trivial, such as Asuka piloting Eva-03 (though I can see why they would do this in order to, in a way, complete Asuka's "arc" within the timespan of the film; but was it necessary to do so in the film? idk) and Mari's introduction... I actually find 2.0 to have the most annoyances out of the three films, in all honesty. 3.0, to me, is only annoying because it's super ambiguous, which doesn't really annoy me to begin with because of what I mentioned in my first comment. I enjoy that feeling of living in the questions that the film provides, in other words. |

And about you liking being confused and impacted by 3.0: in some degree, I also love being challenged when it comes to anime, as it stirs the most enjoyment out of me by far! However, when it came to 3.0, I suppose I was so accustomed to expecting something similar to EoE (as in no time-jumps), that I of course was put off by it and on top of that, I prefer it when I'm the one confused rather than both the MC and I being equally confused, but I can nice technique being formed already now, as you described it. That is quite interesting though when you bring up being impacted by it, as thus far, it did instill a strong response from me when I tried to watch it. But again, I really liked that Star Wars analogy you brought up, and I can't help but think I need to give it a chance rather wait and see the tangent 4.0 will offer. /salute |

did i really waited 3 years fo thiss?? coolasj19 said: *Super Spoilers* The more I think about the movie, the more disappointed and angry I get at it. The movie opens with a mission to a mystery place in outer-space to rescue Shinji and Eva-01 from a mystery box guarded by a mystery Angel after a random interval of time after the abort of Third Impact. The scene was amazing looking at I was looking forward to an explanation of why Mari was there and what happened to the Earth and just everything. What a brilliant setup to a promising movie, right? Nope, not really. Shinji wakes up on a mystery ship with Eva-01 as its battery, everyone is infuriated at him for reasons that no one will explain but we can guess at well enough. Shinji asks question and everyone says " ShutupWeHateYou ". Asuka comes in is ALSO mad but, misses Shinji it feels like apparently. Why didn't they age in 14 years? Just cause. Why does Asuka have an eyepatch? Don't F'n worry about it. It's none of our business. Then, Shinji leaves! Why? BECAUSE EVERYONE IS MAD AT HIM! And no one will tell him why! Of course, the scene looked great and from that point on I was excited to what kind of answers Shinji's Gendo was going to give us! Gendo : Pilot the Eva whenever the time arises. We will not talk again. Wha.... What?! WTH Gendo? Give me answers!! Say vague religious references, Something! But, no, he gives us 15 words and set Shinji about his way. The only person that learns anything in the movie is Shinji. And what he learns is something we already knew. Rei is a clone. Shinji freaks out, pilots the Eva, ignores Kaoru, and Asuka, and Mari and tries to screw the world over AGAIN! Once again, no one tells him why he shouldn't do what he's about to do like " Hey Shinji, if you pick those up Fourth Impact will start. " 4th Impact is cancelled Misato tries to fix it and fails. But alas, Mari, the mystery women who knows absolutely everything for reasons will still have no idea saves the day once again! Yay, everything is saved. Asuka : Oops, we're trapped in a mystery field. Well, lets getting walking. Also, I'm not as mad at you anymore. This movie was just an abomination, a pretty abomination, but an abomination nontheless. There were zero answers to any questions, made up things for the sake of being made up, and it seems like everyone knew what was going on except for Shinji and audience. The other people I was watching with agreed that unless the 4th movie is amazing, we would be comfortable pretending 2.0 was the end. And as for a small bio, I love Evangelion, I have the original series box set, DaR, EoE, and both 1.1 and 2.2. I've read the manga, light novels, and dipped into the side stories. This was the worse thing in the franchise though. Now, excuse me, I'm going to go watch it again to see if I'm just raging on empty or not. my excact tougths , i swear, this is not the first time i've watched half or even 3/4ths of a movie without understandin a shit...but usually one ends up understandiind one way or another, but not with eva 3, you can not redo, sure, sounds legit, you can not redo the fucking planet, but you surely can do a freaking 4th impact!! i mean, WTF, the boy basically ended the world TWICE!!!, WTF!?!?!? i wanted to rate this, but i can't, really, im at the point in m mind when i dont know if thi is bad or not, i just dont know, i'll rewatch it, heck i'll rewatch the 3 movies again, if can give me at least one more answer..... ?/10 |

after much deliberation, ive decided to withhold final judgement till 4.0 drops, because i believe the 2 films will complement each other. either 4.0 will pull it off spectacularly and be the anime film of the decade which people will talk about for decades to come (like with NGE+EOE) or it will fail like a colossal pile of shit. 2.0 shows us the the former is well within the realm of possibility, and some aspects (SOME, not all) of 3.0 show us the latter could also come true. my personal opinion for 4.0 and what they should do drop everything they showed in the preview, given, thats probably already going to happen judging by the preview from 2.0 give us an MP eva battle even half as chillingly brilliant as EOE. with proper MP evas, no design changes. the original were deeply disturbing. the way the seemed to enjoy being slaughtered then in turn slaughtering 02. the MP mark 6 models from the preview (cgi aside) dont even look 1% as terrifying or awesome. dont give us 20 different eva units. keep a small group. unit 2 seems to be destroyed, maybe they can repair it, maybe not. mari can keep her unit. 01 can stay, 00 is lost, no need for it to return, 13 and mark 6 can return, for some sort of final battle maybe? possibly as special MP evas? no more than that. 3.0 had way to many evas. and for the love of fuck, beast mode for unit 2 in 2.0 was brilliant, i almost thought i was watching a joke in 3.0 when it literally became a cat. like. what? we need another scene like EOE with a giant angelic something or another essentially destroying the world one of the best scenes ive ever seen in cinema was giant rei gathering all the earths souls into llilliths egg in EOE. soundtack for all 3 eva movies has been outstanding, no problems in that department. try to keep the CGI, if any, subtle. 1.0 and 2.0 did it great, 3.0 did as well for the most part (especially the opening scene) but there were a few scenes that just stuck out like a sore thumb. more of tojis sister. and have it wrap up in some grand way. by now its pretty obvious its a timeloop/sequel series. work on that and give us a solid unopen ending. one can hope right? |

That was really my only problem with 3.0, but other than that it was simply beautiful and breathtaking. |

5/5 I would not do it, but technically and graphically deserves it, so quite a full vote. The film by duration seems enough to explain many anecdotes, but the end leaves me a little disappointed, you see so much, but the plot is reduced to a few things, some of which already aware, maybe good for those who have not seen the TV series but unnecessary for the fans! So at the end instead of subsiding a little hungry for EVA 4.0, the vision of this film had the reverse effect, now I'm dying to see him as soon as the last film in the series! |

I'm still excited to see 4, but not nearly as excited as I was to see 3 after watching 2. I might go back and give 2 a 10-rating. My jaw was on the floor for the last 30 minutes of that movie. I liked 3 as it is, but I feel like it would have been better if they used it to show what everyone else was doing over the 14 years since 2, ending as they get Shinji. But then they might have needed to make a 5th movie, which I would have been totally fine with me as well. 3 as it stands right now felt rushed to me, while 1 and 2 had perfect pacing. |

Sure am glad I was able to like it enough because of Shinji, even felt for him because of the extreme absurdity, so in a way, it's a nice effect. I, um, went with camrip subs. Is there a major difference beyond that, that you think perhaps could cause people to misunderstand dialogue in 3.0? Jabbing at the camrip subs here, as in Asuka calling Shinji a brat :P I meant no harm. Seriously though, I found it comical the way they made Mari boobs jiggle (the only fan service of her from what I recall, could be wrong) near the last few scenes we see her, probably one of Anno's shenanigans. |

I haven't seen the movie yet (waiting for UTW subs), but reading these comments have me worried about one thing...nobody willing to explain what's going on to the main character. One of my biggest annoyances with some anime is people withholding important information from the main character. For now I suppose I'll remain cautiously optimistic. |

7/10 Had no idea what was happening for the first 25 minutes. After that, it was at least entertaining. |

1) I thought this was just a joke at first but this movie really reinforces the fan theory that Kaworu is not just nice, but gay for shinji. 2) Ritsuko Akagi also probably turned lesbian...I think so because that seems to be a popular lesbian haircut. What a surprise though because I thought her underling Maya Ibuki was the lesbian who's got a thing for Ritsuko Akagi. Or maybe they're both lesbians, for each other? 3) Misato Katsuragi no longer friendly and cool. She's a cold hardcore leader. 4) I'm not sure what is happening but unlike other shows with a pitiful main character I'm entertained by NGE. Perhaps it's because of the massive destruction. 8/10. |

2013, this is how we roll. Cassius baby. One. Great movie. Loved the visuals, the plot, the characters, the direction, the music. Even if each one of them can't be called flawless, they were all so interestingly executed that I didn't mind the imperfections. Regarding the plot, sure a few points are volontarily left in the shadow but using 2.0/the series/End of Evangelion as a reference (as a lot of events are the same, for example: Beethoven, the beheading, Gendo rewriting the script, the Seele leaders dying, Shinji loosing the will to live after killing Kaworu...), it's hard to feel at loss. A few external references like Rah Xephon and Fushigi no umi no Nadia also helped (especially for the Misato/Nemo parallel, the piano scene, the time vs aging problem). As for the use of a major timeskip, I don't think it's relevant to question it, for it allows two things that were definitely intended. First it's quick: 14 years are dealt with in an instant. After all there's only 4 movies, not 2 seasons. Second, it gives rise to a high level of alienation in the viewer that reflects Shinji's perspective, as others already pointed out. It might not be the best way to tell a story, but in the Rebuild context I think it's the most effective. Bottomline is I found nothing just there for the sake of "making things up". To adress a few mentioned on the previous page: Asuka got her eye wound in 2.0, 14 years of non-stop conflict between Nerv and Wille made everyone bitter and put the blame on Shinji, at the end it isn't a mystery field, it's the surface and they're heading "where the Lilins are", ie where possible survivors of Tokyo-3 are. Shinji actions might appear surprising, but as it occured to a lot in 2.0, Shinji takes action, he wills for things in a conscious way (even if on a whim). The fact that a new organisation named Wille appeared is no coincidence, and furthers the metaphor of the schizoid conflict of the Self between nerve, will and soul. So granted he just saved Rei, then is generally fed up with idleness, Shinji's actions were at least believable to me. Apart from that, I also really enjoyed the overall atmosphere: something between Empire Strikes Back and the End of Evangelion. Plus even after all this time, we still get fresh new character development (even if not a lot of it): the older crew, a 30 year old Asuka, a tabula rasa Rei and a somehow different Shinji. Can't wait to see how everything plays out in 4.0. One remark I'll make is the movie felt short. 2.0 was 20-25 minutes longer and it really helped how the pace is perceived. I'm not sure they can tie all the loose ends with just 90 minutes, so I hope 4.0 will be at least 2 hours long. |

Warning: LONG REVIEW So I found Q is showing in theaters in my city and the temptation of seeing it in big screen with state of the art sound system and digital projection was too much to forgo, and so instead of watching the BD rip online, I just took the metro and went straight to a theater to watch it. It was really a superb experience, sitting in a comfy seat that shakes with all the explosions and engine roars. From animation point of view, Q is definitely the best of the three films released so far. However, I did notice quite a portion of awkward looking CG that does not sit well with me, even though I consider myself quite tolerant of the use of CG in anime. The scene where the cores of an Angel were pulled out, rotated and twisted, and eliminated, and the scene where the two Eva's reached and went through the dome of the terminal dogma are just two that particularly stand out. Music-wise I do not have much complaint. It does not give me particularly much to hype about but nothing bad from it either. The funny thing is to see that indeed quite a bit of the piano music used in the PV trailer has found its way back in the film. And what do I think of the film? Interestingly, I find it quite disappointing, but yet I do not hate it, at all. If I am offered another chance to see it, I will clearly say I will see it again. Why? I'd say that despite the disappointment, there are enough in it that appeals to me too. Back in the discussion of HA (aka 2.22), I remember saying that the cliffhanger at its end can be viewed as the most positive ending coming out of a very tough and unfortunate situation. I still think the same way even after watching Q. The cliffhanger essentially provides a kind of turning point, and how the story turns, whether it goes grim or happy, is purely up to the creator's whim or thought. The situation where 2.22 ends can lead to a happy tale but it can also lead to a sorrowful or regrettable tale. I also remember saying that I predicted the third movie will show the darkest moment of the whole New Eva Movie series (assuming there are four altogether and that indeed Anno plans to give us something positive at the end if his earlier words about the series still hold true) so a turn for worse is something I also expected. Although this is indeed what happens, there are also the lingering feeling that over the long period of gestation for Q, Anno (and his staff) tried a bit too hard to compensate, and mainly for two things: 1) the view that the story revealed so far up to 2.22 is too "un-Eva", meaning the mood is too happy or positive for something called Evangelion, and 2) the need to pull away from the original Evangelion as much as possible so that this movie series is really "new". The end result is we see the time suddenly shifted to 14 years later, and many of the characters do things very differently from the original, and despite the positive energy and determination to help a friend, the story has to twist it to squeeze Shinji back to a beat-down and slumped state, this time with the additional burden of being treated as the culprit/sinner (and of course, as per Anno, we don't get to hear the full story of what actually happened until quite a bit into the movie). There are quite a few things that I do not like in Q, and quite a lot of it has to do with the 14 year jump. The jump and the near 3rd impact wiped out a lot of connection to the previous 2 movies. Everything that were established, like Shinji's classmates and his relationship with them, or the kind connection that Kaji showed with Misato or Shinji, just vanished. Faced with the enormity of the near 3rd impact and all the blanks of the 14 years, the symbolism of a party or cooking dinner for someone in 2.22 just looks so puny and almost pointless in comparison. In a way I think much of the care and attention of building up the intricate relationship of all the characters in the first 2 films kind of go to waste. Even for the character who survived, their viewpoint and attitude has changed, sometimes really drastically. Can't blame them but I also wonder if the creator is a bit lazy in showing us how the transition takes place. A lot of questions can be raised for the 14 years in between. So how did the near 3rd impact happen? What did Kaworu do after descending onto Earth as the impact was starting? How did the key staff of Nerv survive? How come Misato and Ritsuko fell out with Gendou and Fuyutsuki? How did they manage to get Mari and Asuka to follow them and how did they manage to build the fleet? In fact how did Asuka wake up from her "contamination" state? And what was Kaworu doing for all the 14 years after the impact? Playing piano? Watch the starry sky? At least I am sure he is thinking of Shinji all the time lol. And did the people get killed? Or they were killed with their souls pulled out (merged) as per the original Evangelion? I can accept Mari and Asuka never grows old (yeah, we know we all want Asuka to stay young, don't we?) but do I also see little change in character for them? They all still sound like the same teenagers as earlier (well I guess I should not complain about it too much, as deep in my heart I may actually wish for the same thing) and particularly for Mari who is still as mysterious as ever (so where is the scene where she seems to be interrogated or something? Come to think of it, even the scenes that hint on more Children are gone. oh well) Some other things are just a bit awkward in my eyes: How come Kaworu could conveniently unlock the bomb neck collar from Shinji? And even more bizarrely, put it on his own neck?!? Well, the moment he did that, I thought "hey you are going to die the same death as in the TV with your head fall off from your body!" and sure enough my premonition hit bullseye a few moments later. I do appreciate the vastly more friendly and kinder portrayal of Kaworu compared to the TV, but I just could not hold back smiling broadly when I saw his death, and I am sure this is not what the film expected me to do at that scene. At the end I sense a contrived effort to create some parallels with the original series, and the way Kaworu dies is one of them. Earlier I said that Anno played hard-to-get for revealing information to us but when he decides to do it, it looks rushed and abrupt -- and I am talking about the shogi game between Fuyutsuki and Shinji. I have always wondered whether Yui will serve the same role as the original Evangelion. And so at the end we see that in many ways it actually stays the same: that she is in the core of Unit 01, that she volunteered to do it herself; that Rei was created in her image; that Fuyutsuki seems to have some kind of feeling towards her; that Gendou indeed bases his plan upon seeing Yui again (which means he has to betray Seele). But all these things had to be bundled together and thrown at us (and Shinji) in a shogi game and a few cuts before and after the game. A lot of big revelations (particularly for someone who has not seen the original) to sink in but little to build the emotional impact. And if this part is rushed, we see almost 20 minutes spent on cool-looking animation and jargon-filled command exchanges in Wille's battle against an Angel (one might also add the operation by Asuka and Mari to retrieve the black cross-shaped box in space at the beginning too). It all looks cool, but it does not really tell much of a story. Another point of contention would be the portrayal of Shinji and judgement of his behavior. The fact that his single-minded focus to help someone or just to help seems to always get a cruel turn of event at the end. I do not know if Anno is trying to write some kind of anti-thesis of the shounen manga's theme of passion about friendship, but he seems to want to say that the strong belief in not abandoning your friend, a theme so common in shounen manga from One Piece to Naruto to JoJo etc etc, is not something to be viewed positively, or at least one needs to think about the broader consequences. And in this film, Shinji seems to do even worse: he did not even seem to have learned any lesson. I could not help thinking "Come on, not again?" when I saw him rush to pull the two lances out even though everyone from Kaworu to Asuka asked him not to. Kaworu may have told him to save the world is by pulling the two lances, but didn't he say hold on something's wrong once he saw the lances? If Shinji's behavior in 2.22 can be perfectly excusable by his commitment to his friend and ignorance about the possibility of a 3rd impact, his action in Q is much harder to explain away and thus harder to forgive. Kaworu has admitted he got things wrong and even asked Shinji not to pull the lances, what made Shinji think that what Kaworu said earlier has to take precedence over what he said once he saw how things really stood? And this all goes back to what I said earlier about the story has to twist and torture Shinji so that he will reach the nadir state (the usual heads in arms sitting on floor gesture, you know) by the end of the film. OK, so why am I still ok about seeing it again? Well, I believe I have let go of the notion of taking Eva too seriously. And looking at the various bits and pieces I do find things I enjoy. First of all, I love seeing so much of Asuka, and a very active kick-ass one too. And for a LAS shipper, the fact that she would shout Baka-Shinji even before he was retrieved and she pulled him out of the capsule and dragged him for a trek to seek help (nice twist of the EoE's "so you did not come to help me" line of Asuka!) gives me quite a lot of warm feelings. And then there is the super-cool kick-ass Misato, who now even commands Ritsuko (btw, I guess there is no more hidden relationship between Ritsuko and Gendou in this movie series?). The older Maya is even better - so much tougher and so cool, yet still retains the same yuri vibe (at least this is how it sounds to a yuri fan like me ha ha). And there is even the surprise of Touji's sister, grown up and all that. On the other hand, the motley crew of Wille looks really uneven - the girl clearly speaks like a kogal and sometimes behaves like one. Are we supposed to believe that even a ne'er-do-well teenager girl can work fine in the main bridge of Wille's flagship?? Besides those characters, as I said the animation can be pretty or great to look at. The music lovely to listen to. The action animated well (some too obvious CG notwithstanding). And I just let the more difficult dialogues pass - perhaps I will dwell on it more later, but for now I just let them be as anyway past experience has proved that speculation does not help much especially when we have not seen everything yet. So all in all I decided I have had a good time, and if opportunities should arise I won't hesitate to go over it again. Now come to think of it, I still wonder how much of the ideas for this new movie are inspired by what happens in Anima, which is an official novel of Evangelion in a kind of parallel world setting. I can't help thinking that the ideas of time jump and Misato vs Seele could have come from there.... |
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
