| Since I played the game, I felt this episode was too rushed. They took a out huge chuck of day 1, leaving Joe out (which i'm guessing is going to be introduced next week), Io & Hibiki saving Daichi then meeting Makoto & also the fact it's extremely early for MC to already summon a LV 53 demon. Also not sure if this is valid for other subs but the one I watched Alcor/ Anguished One called Hibiki 'Sparking One' instead of 'Shining One'. Finally the last thing that threw me off was the fact adaptation Io, Daichi, and Hibiki are a bit too calm here, after all wouldn't it be normal to be shaken after you been through a disaster and had people die in front of your eyes? Enough of that other than those 3 points I liked everything else, I have high hopes for this series, i'm looking forward to see what route they choose. |

| Wow this series seems like it will be a contender for the top spot this season, it was very interesting, with good animation or it seems like it to me (I just watched Aku no Hana), the monsters are cool, I cant find anything I don't like so far and I hope it stays that way. |

| This is Devil Survivor 2.... but where is 1.? Looks like a nice action Anime, but somehow I don't felt really enjoying. Maybe because the character rely on this downloaded application to fight mob.. ...or maybe this Anime just simply remind me of Pokemon . |
| Very nice animation on this episode, looked really nice! The only noticeable flaw so far is the pacing, but everything else is solid. Good premise, solid character design, I like the soundtrack too. So far, this is turning out about as good as I was expecting it to, hopefully it will remain that way. |
| Some people don't seem to understand why people made a big deal of the main character summoning Byakko. As people mentioned, it is level 53. For reference, the final boss is only level 64-75 depending on form. If this was the game they'd have no challenge for most of the series, because Byakko is so much more powerful than the level 1-8 creatures they're currently around. Although it's interesting they called it Byakko, because in the English translation of the game at least they used the original Chinese name Baihu this time.  Now that I think about it, it's fitting MC gets one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese Constellation in his fight against another constellation... |

Sitting happily on Nintendo DS as well as having been remade for 3DS And you DO know that this franchise predates Pokemon, riiight? Pokemon began in 1996, the first Shin Megami Tensei game was released in 1992. |

It centers on biblical figures so that's probably the reason they passed over it for now. |

Now that I think about it, it's fitting MC gets one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese Constellation in his fight against another constellation... and don't forget the double attack lol. sadly they didn't fo the warp step... continuing what Moekou said, dubhe in the game is level 20 while byakko/baihu is in level 53. but dubhe should be immortal, right? can reflect phys and nullify all elements, thay omitted it. =.= recently thinking, comparing with demon vs. demon fight with demon vs. septentrione fight, i can't put much hope for next episode for fighting scene, really hoping for other septentriones to show up and see the CG epic fight sooner |

Shin Megami Tensei just expended on the original games a little, a lot less then Nocturne did I'd say. I also tend to see a large part of the fanbase use MegaTen to refer to the franchise (like me), suggesting Megami Tensei, not Shin Megami Tensei. I admit when talking about the 'main series', I'm most often talking about the Shin Megami Tensei games + if.../Strange Journey and not Megami Tensei (II), but I'd definitely say they are an important part of the franchise. |

| really enjoyable first episode. i'm definitely looking forward to the rest. oh, and the ending theme was really nice. mayukachan said: i actually agree with all that. i hope it won't turn into something like yu-gi-oh or digimon (you know, this whole summoning beasts thing).4/5 for this episode. Gonna be a solid 8/10 if every episode is like this. I liked the whole dead face thing, 'cause it reminded me of Mirai Nikki and Psycho Pass. But then the whole summoning demons thing turned me off because I'd prefer to see more action from the humans instead of random tigers and ugly beasts. |

| Lol everyone is like "Persona vibe" has no one done their research? Devil Survivor is a Shin Megami Tensei game, like Persona and both made by Atlus. All SMT games have the same vibe to them. Anyways, I think it was a good first episode. Not GOOD but good. |

| Finally watched it myself. At least they did a good job on the HUD of all the apps and stuff, but they already made changes that make no sense at all except for trying to make it more generic and shorter. This would've been a bad adaption even if they tried their best to keep as much as possible the same, but looks like they're not even going to do that. |

| Pretty cool episode and introduction to what's going on. Looking forward to more. The OP sequence wasn't bad. The ED was really good. I'm very interested to learn more about what's going on, can't wait for the next episode. 5/5. |

| It's...quite different than the game. I desired that it wouldn't. But hopefully that won't result unfavorably. Hopefully I can enjoy it as an alternative arc though. I'm also shocked they killed Dubhe in the first episode. |

| I'm a little late on this bandwagon, but I decided to give this a try and ended up underwhelmed. I didn't really care for the giant monsters and over-the-top explosion scenes. It all feels a bit excessive and pretentious to me. I wish it developed its atmosphere and a sense of urgency more; instead it just looked like all flash. Plus, all of the characters seemed really flat, and some of their actions made no sense, though it's probably too early to judge the characters. But those are just my thoughts. I don't think I'll continue with this one, unfortunately. |
| This was pretty good, but so far I think that Persona 4 was better. This feels too... James-Bond-like, dramatic and cliché scenes are all over the place. |
