| Small things can pile up and drop the score by some points. But what you mentioned are not small things at all, they're big. What I consider small stuff are for instance, Yayoi in Psycho-Pass having an episode for her backstory, but she's totally a filler character through the whole series. Or Kiritsugu in Fate/Zero (season 1) calling out Kayneth instead of firing at him from behind when they're inside his mansion. Those are minor stuff, just some botherings that aren't enough to drop the score alone, much less ruin the entire anime. |

Small things for me would be stuff like: Ignoring physics in an imaginary world such as anime because they don't really matter anyway Really strange or ugly character designs Use of filming techniques I don't like such as shaky cam or grainy video |

| God-awful English dubs can sometimes ruin it for me. Higurashi, for instance. I love that anime, but I cannot listen to it in English. UGH, what a nightmare. Also, rotoscoping, because bandwagons are fun. |
