| It's still around (though almost every fansubber gets a raw without it for obvious reasons), but I think it's only on certain channels and during certain programming blocks - which is why the only place you'll ever really see it is children's shows and always in the morning. |

| It still does show up in newer shows -- I remember people complaining that the clock in some Beelzebub releases took up a quarter of the screen, even though it actually takes up 1.25% of the screen. The purpose of the clocks is to help people avoid being late for school or work, which is why they're found in morning broadcasts. But since most anime we watch are latenight otaku anime, there are no clocks on them in either the TV or DVD/BD versions. EDIT: Though there is a complete DVD version of Tokyo Mew Mew out there that doesn't have any clocks. |

| I've seen that clock a few times when I caught a fast stream, honestly been wondering why it was there too. The answer given here is quite interesting. |

| I always figured it was something like that, though I didn't know about it being only for morning shows. Also I've sometimes gotten the hurricane warning or some other warning on the screen. |
