| Personally, I just don't like anime that runs for hundreds of eps. Anime like that (Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, etc) tend to be pretty shallow and cater to a young male audience. It has little to do with them being mainstream, though. I like plenty of popular anime. |

I think you would like Hunter x Hunter(the remake) then, that show prioritizes telling a unique good story more so than battles. I was always wondering what would happen if someone like Frieza turned up about the time Vegeta and Nappa were supposed to turn up on Earth. It's just the way these things work, the enemies always turn up in a convenient order. Same can be said for most shounens though. Short answer: They all die lol...whether that would have been a more entertaining series remains up for debate. Though I for one loved DBZ when I was younger and still reminisce in nostalgia. |
