| Yeah this ending sucks i would have been happy if they all where kill as they found out they where clone or something. Plus still doesn't explain how they all woke up in the island. |

| Oh my gosh, what a sucky ending. "because I've friends with me" ending? WTH? Nothing really got explained except his mom dream of it and made the island for them. I can't explain how much disappointed am I with this awful ending. So much worst than Hitman reborn ending (a longer series I read that ended few months ago)....At least like everything are being explained, just the similar kind of "because I've friends with me" ending sucked lol |

| The ending was pretty underwhelming. I mean not much got explained. The ending does kind of hint for a sequel and it also suggest that theres a possibility the outside world turned into Raika Island as well. Since someone escaped with the slime. I really don't like the fact that the group can't get back to their own time thats one of main complaints with this. I'd guess the obvious romance pairings went with the obvious ones as well. Rion and Sengekou etc. I'd give this chapter 3/5 and the whole manga an 8/10 |

| I agree that there better be a sequel to this or this ending was just all kinds of messed up. There were just way too many plot holes left open that the time skip didn't even touch.Heck the last chapter even added a new one in what is going on with civilization at moment.Considering this was such a huge island that many different govts supposedly invested their money into, there is no reason why you don't think at least ONE of them would keep some type of eye/presence on it over the years.I will not be surprised at all though to find out series got canceled as the ending was rushed and definately took a little bit from overall quality of what was to this point a pretty good manga |

| Also, what was the point of killing of Toura? It was like this. "Hey guys, I have some lines in this chapter. Oh no, I am dead." Then he spent one chapter on his last words. If that did not happen, it could have been used for something else. I thought Akira would have made some progress with Rion, because that was mentioned in the first chapter, but there was nothing mentioned of it in the end. So did they ditch Hades and whats-his-face on the island? Overall though, the manga was pretty good. And at least it did try to explain most of the stuff. I am not sure how you would explain the time travel thing (divine intervention maybe, or someone in the future messing with the past). With all that happened, this is pretty much the best ending would could really hope for with only 3 chapters left. It could have been better, but it could have also been a lot worse. I do sincerely hope his next work is a continuation of the story, or another story that happens in the same world as cage. |

| So,, after reading it for years and gave it a 9 on rating, I'm totally disappointed. If it's not a cancellation, I think the mangaka just doesn't know how to end it well (although I'm still hoping for a sequel, there're still so many questions!). IMO, there's two possible explanation: the whole story was just a dream of Akira's mother, OR it's real and the students we know were clones created by them. I prefer the latter, but it still doesn't explain how those "clones" retain their memories (you still have to raise a clone from baby until they grow up, don't you? CMIIW). I'm really really hoping for another sequel, or at least some story to clear things up. |
| *Sigh* It's amazing how many Japanese mangaka just don't know how to end their stories. So many manga out there have some really interesting ideas and gripping stories. But its preposterous how many of them end like this. What's even more mind-boggling is that there was no news of this series being axed, so the author choose to purposely end the story like this. And to think, 97% of the manga was awesome. Children surviving on a harsh island...where death is actually something that occurs without much afterthought. There is so much wasted potential. The author could have gone anywhere else, but to end the manga on this note? Very disappointing. This was one of my favorite manga that I would look forward to each week. | Zaji is really dead. That's one thing I can think about. He died in a great way and they did not bring him back in any BS way. That in itself helps me appreciate the ending, even this rushed and messy. Seriously, this manga should be read just for Zaji (okay, and Mariya). I don't even know why it got me so hard, but it did. After he died I kinda stopped caring much, 'cause they could not achieve the same level again after that. So yeah. Kind of a bad ending but hell, it was worth it. And indeed, way better than Negima. |

| I was so disappointed with this ending.. I thought they would touch on exactly how the plane got where it did, like a time vortex or something. There has to be a sequel to explain EXACTLY what happened on the island and how it became abandoned, if not this has to be some of the laziest work I've ever seen. |
| WTF??? Not meaning to be rude but it's as if the author passed away all of a sudden and somebody had to fill out the ending for him. It does sound rude doesn't it? maybe because that's exactly the feel I get.............................. Nevertheless, I second the posts referencing Negima. |
| here's my theory : Time Travel -Nobody found the plane. and the plane landed smoothly on the island -Nishikiori Tell them he saw the same Star he used to see in guam -the Engine is rusty like it was 40 - 50 years in that place. -R.I.P miina Antenna. -The Island finished after Akira's Mom death. so it mean it's in the future. well, that's some of my theory :v |

| A open ending guess it's the best ending after mentioning this manga would end so abruptly. Now we can imagine what happened after at least in a way. Which is much better then his previous manga which just ended extremely bad. And with this open ending there can even be a sequel at one point though i still wonder why it had to end all of a sudden. The three years after part was nice we got to see how the turned out in there more grown up state and maybe this suggests something of a sequel. Things also seemed to be going well between Rion and Akira. |
| I wonder, what if... What if they all died in timeline 1. Timeline 1 it is timeline of Akira's mom where a chairmen of Eden Project. But she has dreams about Timeline 2 where her son and his friends are alive. So, by one of my theories we have 2 timelines or 2 parallel universes. And Akira & Co. from Universe 1 was moved to Universe 2. But Akira and his mother has something like spiritual contact like her dreams. What if... |

| I put this on-hold halfway through, to pick it up again once it was finished. When I heard this was finished i decided to check the ending first. My only reaction is WTF has author made out of such a great manga. |

| So many questions left unanswered :/ I think they came to the island by time warp. The airplane was never found. And the island is built on the place where the airplane "get lost" Sorry for my bad english. :/ |
| So , so, so disappointing. In the end nothing was said about how they came on that island or are they result of project eden. What ever... Nothing about Kouhei and Hades... I think this manga was going to be canceled soon so the author finished it like this... boring as hell. This NEEDS sequel. I mean all the trouble was just for them to make some ship and in the end nothing was said about the island itself. There will be no sequel so this will be big disappointment as a manga it self. |

| I'd been expecting the 'They were all clones' ending since the pyramid tower arc. I don't have a problem with that except that if they were created on the island after all the people were dead, how did they end up on the plane with their clothes and belongings? This was way too rushed. Weren't the people outside losing a big fight just before the flashback started? Then someone makes an offhand comment is the future about some future technology that keeps the creatures off the school grounds and that's supposed to settle it. It would have been nice to get some closure on Kohei and Hades as well as some of the more cryptic hints left throughout the series |

| I find it hard to believe that the manga was being cancelled. It was on the verge of finishing anyway, why not just give it a few more chapters to explain all of this? There are simply too many unanswered questions, I demand a sequel. |
