| According to the JManga Facebook page, their sister site JManga7 is now open. They will be updating the site with new chapters seven days a week. Paid subscribers have unlimited access to all the titles on the site, no ads, and access to an app for mobile devices. Free users have access only to the latest chapters. | I don't understand how this works. For months, they've been teasing us with press statements saying that most content would be free with ad-support, like a Crunchyroll model. However, most series on JManga7 have only 2 chapters, and you need to get the subscription to read the other available chapters. I'm confused. Are those chapters currently unavailable to non-subscribers going to come out? I'm all for supporting the industry, and I have a huge print manga collection. I continue to buy physical copies of manga. I'm most likely not going to subscribe to JManga or JM7, though. Hoping it is a Crunchyroll-like model (like they said in the press releases! That most content is free with ad-support!). |
