Hey I liked this episode!

+Some badass Shu action
+ Nice soundtrack
+ Segai screentime

-Backstory really rushed
-Segai death :(
-Hmm....his arm felt like it came back way too soon. I thought it would come back...like last episode?

This episode is plain rubbish as it no longer makes sense. If Haruka was aware of Keido being the one who killed her husband, then why the hell was she in charge of the red line to kill all those people all those episodes ago? Besides, Shu's arm was one fucking ass-pull after another. On a positive note, however, the action's quite solid and decent.

Well, well, well, well, well... I really enjoyed this episode.

I knew Shu was going to get his new arm in this episode I just didn't know that it was actually going to be his void. I love Shu's new powers, except for the fact that now he will carry everyone's burden (as if he didn't have enough to worry about).

Also, I swear Arisa is living in Lala Land, she does realize that Gai is not the smoothe talker he once was, not to mention not even human?

Is Mana really related to Shu (the hair kind of points that out, but I've seen anime where siblings don't have the same hair color) because in Haruka's flashbacks, she is never shown.

Now for the next 3 episodes, Shu will be all serious and fight to get Inori.

Oh ya, I've said this once and I'll say it again, this show AMAZING music.

Sad but, now i see shuu dying, just like lelouch.
This anime is like a newer version of code geass, except with different, everything(but with that stuff about being king and shizz).
May end up the same, main char dying, needless to say i enjoy this more than code geass.

Ep.19 was very epic. I liked it so much i watched it like 3 times already XDXD . I love this anime. Its so unpredictable and different from other anime. I don't know why some people don't like the plot because for me the plot is awesome. You guys should find other anime to watch if your not really enjoying this. May be it doesn't suit your taste. For me i LOVED IT!!! Shu is really awesome now. I knew one day he gonna overcome his weakness. He just need to face a lot of hard situations. Now i feel like he been through everything already. He knows what pain feel like. Now he is a true KING. Can't wait for the next episode!!

He's back to the old Shu with a better resolve.

I don't dislike this episode.

Though improved imo, the damage has left it's mark in the previous 18 episodes. I can't find myself too excited about the coming episodes.

After several disappointments... I got a terrible feeling that the writers will surprise me with their bad writing again... Somehow. (realistically speaking though, I don't think they can repair half the damage they've done to the show.)

I won't complain about Shu's development as a character, as they still seem believable to a certain extent, I just really don't like the pacing and execution of the show...

As always though, the soundtrack are ecstasy to my ears.

EDIT: I'm still wondering if he received anything from Hare...

Don't know where all Shu is gonna die is coming from. If anything the OP suggest otherwise since it foreshadows some of the events that will happen.

and I've a gut feeling that Shu's void is a right arm so no surprise there.

Highlights of the episode:
-Shu getting the void genome, pulling out his own void which is an arm, and going badass. I think his void is very interesting. It sucks in all good and bad things. It's like... a void. Lol! I just realized that!
-Segai and his winter hat.

Best disguise ever. Better than Daryl and his freaking amazing frames.
-And my favorite highlight of this episode has to be Segai's: “TODAY’S A PARTY!”

Can both of Shu's hands extract voids now? Were the voids Shu used replica's created from his own void or do they just look different because of his voids ability? Why was he able to summon peoples void without extracting it? If Shu's void gathers everything and assumes it's weight why isn't he paralyzed from using Ayase's void? Is Gai actually being controlled? Or is this really how he is? What's up with Gai's right eye? Where is Mana?

Shit load of questions. Driving me crazy.

Oh. And here's a translation I found of Episode 20's Preview:

"The current world is at an end, and a new one is about to begin.
The process of elimination led by Gai - the 4th Apocalypse.
My father's diary reaches my hands, through which the past's decisions and the world's future comes to light.
As mistakes become reformations and fabrications become reality, we are advancing.
Next time - Recollections/a diary
The Crown of Sins shall test me."

*sigh*
Looks like next week will be a flashback episode... Hopefully it answers some questions. Although answers will be nice and all, flashback episode = No Daryl or Kido Kenji screen time. ; A ; NOONONONONO.

And, thus, the wait begins...
Guilty Crown Thursdays.
You wait for what feels like forever.
Watch the new episode when you get home.
Episode goes by way too fast.
The horrible cycle repeats.

Ayase.. still the best character in the series.. it was kind of a given that the episode title and the the plot would proceed to Shu regaining his void and getting all badass moments again.. but Ayase showed determination, willingness to take on the Void Genome (somebody create a fanfiction of her getting it instead), desperately getting it when it fell while sliding down through the escalator (i was really shouting GO! Ayase! in this scene), and taking on the role of the first one Shu would get a Void weapon from (glad she's Class S.. she allowed Shu to be badass flying even without the Inori Sword).. so yeah.. it's quite obvious who i'm watching this show for..
btw, Ayase's being crippled allows for her always being in pin-up poses whenever she's out of the wheelchair.. simply one HAWT character..

This was a pretty good episode.

Segai gets turned off by Gai's Void usage. It just not the same. Deletes Photo from his phone. Wonder what happened to the clown doll that he had hanging from it. Running around wearing the little girl winter hat. lol

Haruka breaking into the room where Mana is supoosed to be. She's come there to Kill Mana. Only to find an empty room and Confronted by Keido. Nice suprise, Keido is her brother and admits to Killing Shu's Dad, Kurosu.

From what Haruka said about the Void Genome, Shu's lucky to have survived recieving it. Ayase wanting it, to use it, to stop Gai. I liked the Haruka/Ayase scenes. Also liked what Ayase said about Shu helping her. I think it's safe to say she's hot for Shu.

Shu call Haruka. "MOM". I wonder how long she's waited to hear him say that and what else he said to her.

I was cheering when the latest version of Bios started up. Awesomeness was about to insue. And I was not disappointed.

I only wish more episodes had been this well done.

"Indeed. But I think you misunderstand. I am not here to keep the darkness out. I'm here to keep it in." There was a clink of metal as the shadowy watchman lifted a dark lantern and opened it's little door. Orange light cut through the blackness. "Call me . . . the Guarding Dark. Imagine how strong I must be."

I'm sorry but.. Shu will never look bad-ass no matter what he does. He'll always be the wimp-turned-no mercy-bastard that he was this whole season. One episode doesn't save his character at all.

I really don't know who to root for honestly. The only characters I got attached to were Gai, Tsugumi and Hare. I was all for team Gai before but the Gai now is just not the same. Hare's death was the worst episode ever. And Tsugumi doesn't have enough screen time.

Oh, now we learn that Gai was a child soldier, 5 years ago, in Africa. What, Gai's now a Sousuke Sagra rip-off and Shibungi a Kalinin rip-off.

Ogumo dies like a man, protecting Haruka. Amazing those Anti-bodies Mooks missed him that many times. Well, he's such a small person to begin with, it is, sort of understandable.

I do approve of Segai's choice of Knives, the Kukri is such a cool knife and with a distinct history.

Eh, this was the first one I've seen in a while.

They could just totally omit the gunshot altogether and have a quick animation of her running away rather than firing the shot.

I'm not even complaining about plot holes or inconsistency. It's just funny how GC always seem to be running out of time to show these minor stuffs.

Also, Bios song playing in the background when Shu was kicking ass was perfect. This is what I've been waiting for. :DD
Segai was the best antagonist in the show, his death was done quite well, dying with insanity. XD

Agree about Segai. He was entertaining, interesting and you really didn't know where he stood. His one constant was his interest in Shu and Voids after seeing Shu in action in episode 4. He really did die a Happy Man. Insane, but Happy. He'll be missed.

Why is it a bad thing that we get a Flashback episode, now?

I, for one, have been waiting for explainations about what happened in the past. More information about the Apocalpse Virus. How Shu's father died and Why? There are somethings that need to be explained, if Guilty Crown is going to have a satisfactory conclusion. Not everything, but enough for us to see where this is heading and why. A flashback episode is a good way to do this.
