| The top anime section of MAL is only updated twice a day...actually that was back when MAL wasnt such a PoS in terms of server lags and SQL issues. This day I dont think the list is updated at all anymore...maybe once a week or less. That is why you will find lower ranked animes on top of others |

| Don't worry, when it's complete the score will rise. Completing an anime will increase your weight, meaning people who dropped it are worth less. |
| Completing an anime doesn't technically make a score worth more. Airing series count all scores but completed series don't count the scores of anyone who hasn't seen 1/5 of the series, so when Steins;Gate ends all of the people who haven't seen 5 or more episodes won't have their score count anymore and the average score will inevitably go up because the people who no longer count are most likely the people who don't like it, causing them to drop it early on. As for the current ranking, MAL's Top Anime page is just not updating. Again. A glitch-less MAL is sort of a myth. |

| There is no real answer to that question. I haven't finished Steins;Gate so I have no valid thoughts on this. I'm just saying an anime relies on 9s to be extremely high on the rankings. But hell, the rankings mean nothing. It's the opinion of the viewer. But people do follow the rankings. So ya. |
