| Cliffhanger, what will happen to Mayushi, will she be safe? |
| Despite the fact that Daru is the father being so obvious, they still did it extremely well. So much stuff happened in this episode. Time to go be depressed waiting for a week. |

In the unsuccessful jump she committed suicide, but in the jump after the D-mail she died peacefully so presumably she felt she had succeeded in her mission. What does that all mean? It means the IBN should have once again appeared at the shrine, where Okabe can find it and launch his counterattack against SERN. saka said: No way! O_O Dude you made my jaw drop! Amane may be Feiris? Can cross reference to her real name? Found nothing but now got spoiled what happens and I can tell you all that the possibilities are infinite how they may arrange that.I also have the suspicion that Feiris is Suzuha's mother. I base that solely on Okabe's promise of a date with Daru (since overwritten) and on the bone structure of her face compared to Suzuha. Since Okabe is talking with her in the episode preview, I expect there could be some trigger for this in the next episode -- but maybe I'm reading too far into that as well. |

The only escape is to climb through 1% divergence, the Beta Worldline, or below 0% - It doesn't matter how close the timeline gets to the two ends. If it's still within the Alpha Attractor Field, she's dead. Deader than dead. | Daru’s the father of Suzuha? Impossible!(jk) The time-travel machine can only travel backward... yeah my theories are probably right then. You can only time-travel to the past. Daru seems to be getting killed by me soon >.< Daru’s the father of Suzuha FOR REAL!? NWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Reading Signer ftw! So Daru got married? :O So Daru had sex-fantasies thad considers his daughter? He really is a hentay >.< Mayushi’s farewell moved my heart ;( So... who’ll open the door? Suzuha or Shining Finger? MR. BRAUN? Suzeha died... just two episodes rest and we get drama again... So Suzuha really failed because she wanted to see her dad =\ Her life was wasted... not much can be said here, this anime got point in overall score on the “Drama” section. Suicide? But why!? The Butterfly effect. It’s like I felt he was triggering it, back then. So he’s ereasing the timeline. The drama here is on max level... NO! I refuse to cater to the stupid and lazy who will probably still not understand a damn thing after watching the very last episode. | The show was accelerated a few episodes ago and is getting quite interesting. This episode was emotional again. The letter, monologue and tears of Suzuha penetrated into my mind like sad rain drops. The long and loose line that should be a period tells her regret________ By the way, I don't get the reason why she didn't ask Mr. Braun to give Okabe the letter earlier than the day he stopped her to leap to 1975? (^-^; We cannot change the past without a time machine but we can change the future without it, right? Anyway, Okabe had read the letter and has changed the past and the future, at least in some degree. |

| Well it was pretty obvious since the previous episode, but to think it is Mayuri that makes the connection make you think you think that it is true that you can't judge a book by it cover; and to think how Daru was hitting on her all this time. For one I am relieved that Mayuri didn't bite it one more time. |

| Well.... technically he could time leap almost infinitely backwards up until the point where he met Kurisu, however he would first need to exactly memorize the schematic and science behind the time leap machine so as to relay it to her or build it himself. This way he could jump back a couple days at a time depending on the duration needed to build the device. Not saying it would be easy, but it isn't impossible. |

| "But...the Future Refused to Change" They changed it a small bit, with Mayuri surviving longer and Suzuha dying because of an illness, but they are no where close to a happy end with 0.4%, so it's applicable. Well, forthe ones hating Mayuri it probably would be and happy end.. With this time travel and world lines, everyone can pick his favorite ending. Don't like character x? Just chose the right timeline. By the way, did anyone notice the lack of "tuturu" lately? It was annoying when she did it all the time, but it's funny when she suddenly does it when you don't expect it. |

I mean, if the solution lies in leaving no trace to it to SERN, can't they just send another D-mail letting their past selves to do so? ... However, I have a feeling something larger than SERN is behind the dystopian future. In the first episode and the "first" world line, it seemed like another Okabe was present there too, possibly from the future; he was trying to warn the Kurisa in that world line, but he apparently failed. I have a theory that there's an "original" future Okabe somehow, who started the chain of events seen through the Okabe we know, and trying to achieve something we don't know as of yet. |

This will only create yet another trace to be intercepted by the Echelon. It will start all over again. Suzuha's suggestion is probably the only way out. In the VN, if Okabe(the reader) check this mail again in later chapters, u will notice it contents only a series of random codes. |

But what if it takes two days to build the machine? Then he wouldn't be able to get anywhere. Your suggestion sounds theoretically sound but practically impossible (memorizing exactly how to build a time machine and building it in less than two days)...how did they manage this in the VN I wonder? |

| Mayuri lives! For now... we can't be sure about any side effects, if any, but in the meantime she is safe, and she can continue living past her appointed time with Death. If anything, this show has proven that serious consequences do happen whenever they try to change the future. The next episode will probably show the effects of what just happened. The hourglass especially, appears to foreshadow an as-yet-unknown side effect. I will miss Suzuha, though, she was an awesome character. Will we see her again? With the D-Mail sent, Daru would not know again that Suzuha is in fact, his daughter from the future, but if that is what it takes to keep her from dying a horrible death many years later, then fine. |

In episodes 2-16, Suzuha's time machine is shown not to work until Daru fixes it in episode 16. However, Suzuha uses her time machine and presumably travels to 1975 in episode 10 without Daru having had to fix it. How can this be? The answer to this question affects quite a lot. Suzuha's actions in Episode 10 occur in World Line 0.409420%, and in Episode 17 the divergence is pushed even higher than that, which warrants the question: did the events of Episode 16 even happen after Feyris reverses her D-Mail? Does Daru remember learning that Suzuha is his daughter? Also, Daru doesn't secretly have a thing for Mayuri does he? |

Ah, thank you. I hadn't gotten around to rewatching episode 16 yet, so I had been under the belief that her time machine stopped working because it crashed, not because of the storm. Thanks for clarifying that. But still, the question is still there: after the divergence goes beyond 0.409031%, does Daru still remember learning that Suzuha was his daughter? Or does he just remember her leaving after not having met her father? |

| Aww, its a shame we dont get to see 50yr old Suzu, but I guess we're only supposed to see the teenage version of her! Creative styling and all that! Yey, more and more optimism is here as Okabe saves Suzu's mission and that changes things enough that Mayuri is alive past the point of fate killing her. Wooo! Although, I do wonder if this is going to borrow a styling from Clannad, in that we have happy episode, happy episode, TRAGIC UNHAPPY episode, happy episode..... |

| At first I thought Suzuha was an odd character. Now she's just plain awesome. Her letter is just emotional and depressing.. the fact that she had to repeatedly blame herself proves how guilty she must have felt. ;_; |
| Suzuha is the only character whom I don't think the anime does justice, at least so far. I really hope the ending gives closure to her story, because I feel like essentially just ceasing to be a character 2/3 into the show is unfair to her (especially because she's probably the second most interesting character in the show). |

| this episode was exhausting from having to watch suzuha leave to okabe reading the letter with suzuha saying she failed to suzuha inevitably dying was really really sad but at least mayuri was saved and the divergence is getting closer to 1% edit: i'm not really good at reading between the lines and such but when i read this.. that made me even sadder It might not be much but if you notice Suzuha’s shadow was swinging back and forth so it showed her hanging with Mr. Braun’s surprised expression. That really made me sad. That because she failed she committed suicide the letter on the roof added to the emotional toll. |

| Powerful stuff, wow. Especially the part where he read the letter and she said, "I failed" over and over and over again. Not much else to say, I'm having a bit of trouble getting my thoughts together after this episode. Some part of me wonders if it is "right" for Okabe to be interfering like this. I mean, for example Daru and Suzuha now will never know that they are father and daughter. |
