Not a bad ep at all, good to get the full history of Zakuro herself and a decent amount of her mother and her Half whatever he is Brother.

So now we have Kei charging in for the attack.. so is he going ot interupt that kiss seen with the 'controlled Zakuro and perhaps we will have a change in management when a blade is slammed through Omadaka >.>

And which of the Village Twins will do what or take what side (Its fairly obvious one is 100 a non thinking over sheltered pawn.. so will Byak. Switch Sides? Probably she would be the only one who might, anyways.)

Loved it. That does it. This is my favorite show this season.

Zakuro and her mother are so alike! I'm glad they showed the whole relationship between Tsukuhane, Enaga, and Omodaka's father. I don't know why, but since Zakuro and Omodaka are half-sublings, it kind of reminded me of Vampire Knight. Probably a lame comparison, but that's where my mind wandered to.

It's too bad there's only 2 episodes left. I really wanted this show to be longer. I'm going to miss it a lot when it's over.

Even though it was just a flashback of Zakuro's mother, it was still a great episode. I loved it.

Enaga was pretty darn smexy. Tsukuhane has good eyes for choosing men; and she's quite the tsundene. At least now we know where Zakuro got it from now.haha.

Anyways, Hanadate/Omodaka get your filthy paws off Zakuro! She's your half-sister fro chrissake. The fact that you want to mate with her is disturbing. Zakuro belongs to Kei alone.

I hate Omodaka even more now, I mean what kind of child betrays their mother like that? That man is just pure evil! And to think he wants to do it with his half-sister... that's just wrong

Also who would have thought that Zakuro's father was human and her mother was from the Village of Oracles? That was indeed a surprise and I almost cried during the scene where Enaga got killed because it was just so horrible. I hope Agemaki and the team make in time before the wedding happens or whatever is going on.

The whole thing with Zakuro's mother was quite sad. I never would've guessed there was such a story behind it all. Loved all the plot development this episode, it was great. And Tsukuhane was really cute.

The story of Zakuro's mother looked like a work from Shakespeare.
The old village chief had no respect for humans and woman at all, it must have been very hard for Zakuro's mother.
It's truly a shame he didn't get killed.
Omodaka is a really ungrateful child betraying his mother in such a way he deserves a harsh punishment.

And i wonder what that Black Widow lady is up to with Daidai.

Splendid episode, which also covers her mother's background, and explains omodaka's lineage.

Dammit, I wished the episode lasted longer. I want Agemaki to beat the shit out of omodaka in the next ep, for having the balls to try and get close to Zakuro's lips.

Aside from those fox looking eyes, he looks like a pussy, who's been spoiled his whole life....and ironically, that's true

There is no denying this show is the best of this season. This episode made it clear for me.

In this ep Zakuro gets to learn a lot about who she is and what this is all about, and the other girls learn too. One of best ones this season, or probably the #1.

Even though I love this show so much I still want more :) I can not understand it only gets 13 eps but if the are books and they go into further detail then 'please' ''

Wow, this was...amazing.

The flashback was so intense. As dramatic as this show has been, I did not expect everything to get that dramatic. I was holding out some very small hope that maybe Enaga and Tsukuhane were just separated but...then he died and I was sad so *sigh*

The eyecatch of Tsukuhane, Enaga and child-Zakuro together did not help.

Agemaki and everyone, please hurry.

Seeing Tsukuhane's past reminded me of Air in Summer. Such a sad story, too.
Omodaka = a dick; all day, every day! (So... Omodaka and Zakuro are half-siblings, right? And Omodaka's gonna you know? >>)
Daidai's cute when she gets attention.
Thinking about it, this show is actually pretty well paced.

Also, does anyone else think the difference in Kushimatsu's forms is kind of funny? I mean, her mouth and eyes are more realistic when portrayed as more of an animal.
Rangui just wants to exact revenge on Omodaka, right?

This episode was so good. So much shown in just an episode, so many explanations and flashbacks all just made the first 10 episodes worth even more.

It was sad to see Tsukuhane had to go through such a horrible life. Unloved and only used as someone just to bear the child of a monstrous village chief /rage starts/ i really want this bastard dead, maybe he is already dead, i just hope he had a pathetic one /rage ends/, and then having her son being taken away at birth, isolating her in the mountains, and when she did find true love in Enaga (the encounter was so lovely, seriously reminded me how Kanna and Ryuuya met) and mothered his child, saw him stabbed to death in front of her, and even more ironically, it was her son Omodaka who had him (Zakuro's father) killed. And as a punishment, she was thrown to fox-spirit ritual to give birth to Zakuro as a Hanyuu. This is so not right. I am so saddened with the entire story. This anime, even if it doesn't follow the manga from here onwards (as it is likely to end in 2 episodes), better have a warm finale.

Also, nice(!) change in OP, seemed so silly because it was 120% obvious that Handate was the ebil masked man.

Now all is needed is Kei kicking some Hanadate/Omadaka ass and prove his worth to Zakuro. /rage starts/ you keep your hands off her you bastard Omadaka /rage ends/

Oh.. My.

That episode was bloody magnificent. I'm dead serious. 10 worthy in my eyes. When I first started this series, I never expected something this astounding. To create so much emotion for two characters in an episode...

Gosh, I actually almost started to cry when Tsukuhane had to witness what happened to Enaga. My goodness, I cannot even begin to imagine how traumatising that would be, let alone finding out seconds later that it was your own son that caused it all. How could a child be capable of such evil, malicious deeds? Seriously?

Either way, next two eps will be AMAZING, I hope!

Am I the only one who likes Omodaka here? Sure he might have been a bitch to her mom but I'm not entirely sure he meant it.. idk it just seems like he'll end up being a good guy at the end. A part of me actually wants Zakuro to end up with him but meh, it's not going to happen.

...Not entirely sure he meant it?

He bloody knew what would happen if he told them and the way he was talking to Tsukuhane when she was so happy to see him despite what he had just done was enough to say he meant it entirely. He may reget it now or something (Although I doubt it... He is trying to knock his half-sister up now) but you can tell from his expression and his voice then that he completely meant it.

He may end up a good guy but... I doubt it.

I don't like lame stories where everyone becomes good in the end. He was the reason for Zakuro's father's death, he was the reason for all the pain Tsukuhane went through. and he carried out those rituals to create hanyuus being the head. I dunno how Omodaka shippers (wow, seriously, even after watching this episode!) still care for him. i refuse to take his upbringing as an excuse.

Anything other than Omodaka not dying unless there is an S2, so they keep him alive on purpose to follow the manga which is ongoing, i will give this anime a much lower rating. And even if he does die, I don't want to see him ending up being good before his death to earn sympathy. that will be outright lame.

Inari-bitch? Maybe :D

Anyways, I have this feeling the anime will actually end in the next episode and the final (13th) will be left for rounding it up with kei♥zakuro, riken♥susukihotaru, bonbori♥hanakiri♥hoozuki. Season 2 however, will be welcomed more than anything, since I seriously loved this anime up till this point of time. And I don't think it will drastically change depending on how they pull the curtains. Just saying. :/

Oh, the wait will be unbearable! I loved this episode to bits, probably the one I liked the most so far... well, apart from the Kei x Zakuro cute scenes in the previous ones. I felt really emotional during the scene when Enaga is killed right in front of Zakuro's mother's eyes. It was just too much for her to bear. And seeing her son treat her like the next second? And then having to give herself back to the village to protect her child? How sadder could it get? She became when of my favourite characters from this show with just this episode.

I hope shanimebib isn't right... I don't want the next episode to be the last one. Unless it's a really, really great one... or unless the 13th will focus on Kei x Zakuro as an item. I really want to see them together and I won't be happy with just one kiss.

I don't wait to wait another week! Good thing there's "my" Kuragehime on Thursday, otherwise the week would just be plain dull.

Yeah the flashback was done really well. I have to agree with another poster that the stabbing Enaga in front of her increased the emotions there. Convenient that they grabbed that scrape of paper and just so happened to be carrying it in the room XD

Shouko is nasty, yes, but... She did not actually rape Shu. It's despicable and I would never try to justify it, let alone say that it isn't bad, but it isn't as bad as Omodaka. And although I hate Kirino, she isn't nearly this bad.

However, Omodaka is planning on getting it on with his half sister (Most likely raping her like his father did to Tsukuhane if she doesn't agree), getting Zakuro's father killed and practically telling his mother to drop dead as well. I mean, this guy is a grade A scumbag.

I agree completely. Just cause I said it could happen, did not mean I wanted it to. I really like series where the bad guy is just that, the bad guy. Not all of them are hurting emos, they're just... Bad. And that's what I want now.

I love the way they expressed the emotions in this episode, but at the same time I don't like the direction the plot is taking. Omadaka wanting to marry and make a powerful heir by impregnating his sister sounds like something out of a Hentai to me. I really liked the laid back storyline we had up till now so I'm a little disappointed it went generic on me.

Just curious, to anyone that's read the manga, is this how the story plays out there as well?
