Julius was more creepy than just annoying this episode. Thank God he got put into his place..

So much heated moments in this episode though. This is also the most emotional I've seen from Mia. Julius looked like he was going insane, Jesus Christ.

Uh-oh, looks like Julius just leveled up. Just when you think he couldn't be more irritating...

Honestly, it's such a relief to see those awful parents finally get arrested. Hope they stay behind bars for a long, long time!

@Stark700 Mia was close to completing her revenge, but deep down, she felt like she couldn't let it end without turning some of that pain inward.

Good to see that Girtonia is in better hands now, and that Julius, along with all his accomplices, will suffer a befitting fate.

Philia succeeded in performing the Great Purification Circle across the entire continent, but she failed to cover the eastern side due to the strong influence of the Demon Realm there. All the Martillas sisters in one frame... it's hard not to compare their sizes.

I didn’t expect Oswald, of all characters, to act like an idiot. I get that he wants to help Philia, but as a prince, his kingdom and people should be his top priority. Or maybe he missed the lesson on patriotism for being the second prince!?

Poor Mia, she's the one suffering the most through all of this, even going so far as to hate her own existence for being one of the causes behind the suffering of her dear big sister, Philia. Good to know that Fernando can tell what's hurting and how much Mia is suffering, unlike certain trash.

Well, about that certain trash... he didn’t learn his lesson. Either he’s possessed or dead. Honestly, I don't want him to die just yet, where’s the fun in that, right? But it looks like, thanks to that idiot, Asmodeus is free. I just wish we got to see his actual body instead of Julius's. I’d rather not see him any longer.

The biggest comeback of the century that lies from the takeover with Crown Prince Fernand for Girtonia, Mia can finally focus on the issue of the Demon Realm incoming towards Girtonia.

With Grace bearing fruit for her magic with the 3 sisters, Saint Philia can finally put her magic to good use with the Great Purification Circle all over Parnacorta, but didn't reach as far as Girtonia as she hoped. As much as Philia wants to go back to Girtonia to help her own sister, Prince Reichardt stopping her to stay in her place in the blight of Archdemon Asmodeus's arrival for her; if she goes, the Demon Realm will have full control of her and the kingdoms done for good. Still, with Osvalt prepping the way for Philia, the decision is made at haste to save Girtonia as much remaining time as they have.

With Girtonia already seeped deep into the trouble with the Demon Realm, Mia and the knights from both Girtonia and Parnacorta do their best, though it's the younger Saint who is more than willing to sacrifice her life if need be. Thankfully, Philia and the rest make it in time to revive Mia for her good work making it this far.

If only the insufferable Julius didn't get another chance at his revival, no thanks to Asmodeus's ring...

From a plot and character standpoint it’s no debating Mia is best girl of the season and one of the best sisters you’ll see. I’m so proud of her. Carrying the burden she’s dealt with all season, the regret about not understanding Philia’s suffering and executing her revenge plot.. that would’ve broken many people, but right until the end she was willing to die for a kingdom that didn’t deserve her, because that’s what Philia would’ve done!

Thankfully it didn’t come down to that and Philia showed up in time to save her, with one of the coolest scenes this season btw. The animation in the second half of this episode was so good! This also really served as an example of how much Philia herself has grown. Could you imagine Philia from episode 1 defying the Prince’s order to go to Parnacorta? That’s basically the equivalent of what she did by defying Reichardt. So proud of her! S/O Osvalt for supporting her!

Philia might be the main character, but this season Mia’s been the MVP and carried the story. I love her sm. I got so sad seeing how willing she was to die because she hated herself for not noticing Philia’s abuse sooner. None of that is your fault, Mia. It’s not a child’s responsibility to do an adult’s job.

Philia’s got osvalt, we need Mia to get with Fernand and have both sisters become queens officially lol. FIRST we gotta get rid of this POS Julius and Asmodeus.

Great episode, EXCEPT Julius didn’t suffer and die yet, so I’m very disappointed.(jk) Next week we will be seated with popcorn for he and Asmodeus’ defeat tho. Hopefully it’s something worse than death and some eternal bondage.

This is why you should have killed Julius immediately after you arrested him. What can he do? Causing problems after problems. Surely, he awoke Asmodeus and let this demon destroy Ziltonia in the next episode.
ahhh please kill this fking shit. His foolishness is beyond repair.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

This episode in a nutshell: Grace & Oswald - "Let's go save Mia!!!", Reichardt - "No don't, the risk is too high, we can't afford to make dumb decisions", Grace & Oswald - "Let's make dumb decisions!"

All in all, not a bad episode or anything, Mia definitely is still carrying this whole show on her shoulders but whatever. But yet again Julius is the single worst character in this entire show and I mean it in the way that he's just badly written villain not that he just does horrible things. He escaped? Of course he did, and of course he grabs the obviously demonic looking ring and probably gets possessed by the demon or something. The horrid writing for Julius is single-handedly trying to make this show as mediocre as possible while Mia is doing the opposite for this show. This is a good show that's constantly shooting itself in the foot with badly written near SAO tier villains.

@Marinate1016 Same I was hoping that Mia would get to slap him, or even better she'd drag him over to Philia and let her slap him, but the "twist" we got is really poor. The fact the he "escaped" when he was supposedly being watched by guards, and grabbed the obviously demonic looking ring to turn the events this way is simply flat out stupid. Setting aside the fact that Julius is insane, how the heck did the guards somehow manage to NOT do their job? And not only that, why the heck did they keep him in a place it would even be possible for him to get out of?

It was such a treat to see Philia really showing her emotions here. Her desperation and fear of losing her sister was pretty tangible, especially because of her usually cold and detached demeanor it was so effective.

But I also respected Prince Reichardts logical thinking in this heated moment to not wanting Philia to interfere with the other kingdom. Mias determination to sacrifice herself was admirable, too.

I'm actually surprised at how much I'm into their character dynamics and drama overall. This developments was not at all what I expected at the start of the season.

Unfortunately Julius is still a joke and the weakest part of the show.

Is it just me or Mia's side of the story is more interesting than Philia's? If not for the title of this anime, I'd have thought that Mia is the sole female lead.

2 episodes left, I actually think it's a good idea to deal with that demon lord for once and for all instead of just indefinitely seal him so I've to thanks Julius for providing his body to Asmodeus.

Is it just me or the front part of the episode feels rushed or sped up

They tried to give Julius the typical antagonist backstory, but that fell flat af so now he's just a conveniently side character for plot progression.

Plus one on this, thou I'm assuming this arc focuses more on Mia, while the later arcs would turn it's focus more towards Philia

Damn it, even the jailers in poor Mia's Kingdom seem to be incompetent. Julius couldn't have been in prison for more than a couple of days & now he is back, looking like a vessel for Asmodeus.

Who's. Idea. Was. It. To. Imprison. Julius. And. NOT. KILL. HIM. Like bro he does all of that and you don't just swing the axe on him?! Now he's been possessed and is back for revenge. (Presumably by Asmodeus but it could just be any old demon)

I gained a bit of respect for Oswald helping out Philia this episode, He's a bit less of a wall plant now.

I had come to realise this show wasn't really what I was expecting. I was more expecting to get a anime about a tormented girl finding herself in a new environment and growing as a person and finding love and yes while that is technically what this is I think the real highlight of this show has been Mia and Philia's relationship as sisters. I think its been portrayed amazingly considering they havent seen each other since episode 1.

and as someone with siblings of my own seeing Mia essentially try kill herself to atone for her "sins" was really heart breaking to see. Im hoping we get more moments between them after this conflict with Possessed Julius gets resolved.

Definitely interested to see if they give Asmodeus a actual Physical form and not just show him possessing Julius (assuming that's even him possessing Julius)

The passion, love and hatred that kept Mia going forward eventually turned into that double edge sword, she wanted everyone who hurt Philia to pay, including herself.

I liked a lot how crazy happy Asmodeus sounded when he took Julius body.

Realistically, the evil and the crazy win, just look around and see the world.
At best, Mia and Philia and Asmodeus could destroy each other, thereby restoring balance to the Force ... that is, until some try to use it again and call themselves Sith and Jedi.
Anyhow, what powers magic in this continent? Could easily be deaths of millions in a parallel universe, toka-koka, etc.

Damn, Mia and the land is cooked, they might die

U did well Mia, let Philia cook up in ur absence.

Very happy that we were able to succeed. But now Julius plot armor is even stronger and now he is possessed by the ring.

Loved the episode, although I didn’t really get why they couldn’t make the barrier big enough to cover both Parnacorta and Girtonia. But hey, it all worked out in the end, so all’s well that ends well. Really glad Philia arrived just in time for Mia, otherwise i wouldn't want to imagine what would've happened.

Speaking of Mia, I relate to her hard. We’ve all been through those moments, but dang, she had my emotions on a rollercoaster. First, she talks about abandoning everything, with a smile on her face mid-fight, then she smiles at Himari and walks toward the demons like it’s no big deal. Goodness gracious.

Really glad they managed to save her in the end. Even more glad Mia’s parents and Pyrz got what they deserved, thrown into prison, baby! But the royal guards? Major disappointment. How do you let Julius escape after everything he’s done? Like, was anyone seriously even watching the guy?

And bro didn’t just escape, he apparently knocked his family unconscious or straight-up killed them? Not sure, but I’m super hyped to see what kind of power he got from that ring, & even more excited to see how the saint sisters are gonna deal with him. Man’s more villainous than Asmodeos at this point.

Good thing the Prince Julius arc is over.

I never really believed Mia would die. So far, it doesn't have the tone of being do emotionally drenching. Who knows if this will change? This season is not enough to wraps things up. We need Season 2.

As predicted, Prince Julius will be possessed by the Dark Demon. He would be an interesting antagonist from this point on.

@Kai200X Yeah I don't care how stupid the guards might've been this is just "convenient" villain writing on the SAO tier. Like just make a room with only 1 exit(a jail cell basically) put Julius in there and have a minimum of 2-3 guards watching him at a time.

In a previous episode it was shown that his advisor already got possessed by the red-eye demon, so his escape might have partly been super-natural. Also those aristocrats, whom the king and crown prince Franz Ferdinand threatened to punish for their treason, might have rallied behind Julius and liberated him. For them that was the only logical remedy, after the king was behaved in such a very dumb way.

Man, words cannot describe how satisfying it was to see Julius and the others who colluded with him finally get what they deserved for their crimes!

The only thing more satisfying was Philia finally reuniting with Mia! These sisters have been through so much, I hope they never get seperated again!!

I really feared that Mia would actually succeed in punishing herself for a second there. It would have been so cruel for her life to end that way, but it certainly would have made for an impactful tragic ending to this story.

I'm incredibly glad tho that the author didn't decide to take the story in that direftion. Seems like we're sailing towards a happy end here!

All that's left to deal with is Asmodaeus. Speaking of which, there really is no end to Julius' stupidity is there?

It was great so far with minor changes but that ending !!!!
WTF are they doing ?
They adapted Volume 1 pretty well until this episode where they rushed the whole battle and cut away Oswalt moment not to mention they could even delve into it a bit more instead of cutting away and now they went ahead and adapt Volume 2 in just 2 episodes ????? WTF
That ending wasn't in the LN not like this they just cut away 70% of the whole Volume 2 if they just gonna charge immediately to the climax of Volume 2.
I can't believe it.... they did so great with volume 1 till this episode latter half and now they are gonna ruin the entire volume 2....
Shit this was so far a 7 \ 8
well now its going to drop 4 \ 5 if not worse...
I would prefer for them to make it 10 or 11 episodes and just adapt volume 1 and that's it.

edit : This is the first time in a long time I encountered an anime that made a really good adaptation of volume 1 only to entirely ruin Volume 2...
They did soo good so far with even added content and a few minor changes that actually improved a bit but the last 2 minutes of episode 10 just spelled doom for the last 2 episodes it took them 9 and a half episode to adapt the entire Volume 1 let me repeat 9.5 episode to adapt Volume 1 and now they want to adapt Volume 2 with 2 episodes ? holy shit man this is completely bullocks
I recommend anyone who enjoyed the show so far to just read the last 2 chapter of Volume 1 and read the entire Volume 2 instead watching the last 2 episode I assure you its gonna be so rushed and so bad... I can't see how will they managed to fix it hell they just downgraded the entire Asmodeus character powers his entrance was supposed to be epic and scary not like this.... they just immediately went to around 60% - 70% plot point of Volume 2.
Sorry for my rant but this is so absurd I've never seen anything like this...
Like sure they are bad adaptations all the time but being able to adapt Volume 1 so good only to screw it up with Volume 2 man....

OF COURSE Julius escapes and finds his way to an unguarded room with the most dangerous item in the kingdom.

Aside from that, this was a great & touching ep ♥
Respectfully ofc
