Damn, they really are trying to push Ein to the limit here.

The character rivalry got tense but also felt kinda rushed. Either way, they wanted to give Ein the chance to shine after all he's been through. Well played. I didn't doubt him

I don't get how Ein can fight using mirage, if my knowledge is correct then mirage is an illation which has no physical form, guess anything goes in anime. So Ein can't parry shadows attack cause it could hurt Nigun, but he's okay with headbutting him that literally made his head bleed?

If I had watched this episode without my brain, I would have enjoyed it. Only unnecessary melodrama and braindead/illogical plot.

That was some of the cheesiest and sappiest garbage I've ever had the displeasure of watching, disgusting episode and trash author. And they just had to throw in a homo shit gag at the end as well, to appease the LGTV crowd. Get out of our anime, you're not welcome.

On this week's episode of Written by a Pre-literate Child…

They beat the demon.

I watched, I kid you not, 20 seconds of the episode total. I was pushing → a lot this episode. It has always been poorly written, but the last two episodes have been unbearably painful to sit through. There are literally no things that are not explicitly said in the story. That is how a toddler tells a story. There are no actions speaking for themselves. If an evil dude does evil things, they're always sure to get that dude to say, “I DID THESE EVIL THINGS! I'M EVIL!”.

At this point, I think it is intentional:

Yuri is so cute when jealous!

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

TBH, they should've just let that stupid brat die lol. Other than that, its an ok episode. It's the first time we see a spirit exhausted her power, which imo wasn't worth it. From being a "worthless" appraiser to being a lord now, I'm so glad for Ein.

This episode really makes it feel like the main character can sort of appraise things. Ein really does have some type of powers doesnt he.

Nigun is a murdering, child sacrificing traitor to his territory. I knew from the last episode that Ein was going to do some stupid "I have to save him" naive bullshiat, but I didn't expect him to cry over the death of this horrible person who he's known for all of a few hours and immediately tried to kill him. I almost turned it off when Ein proclaimed that he wouldn't sacrifice one person to save 100, despite being perfectly willing allow demons to kill all the villagers in order to save Nigun, despite Nigun being by far the worst person in the episode. Ein absolutely should have just killed Nigun right at the start.

It's painful how dumb Ein is.

The choice of names of some characters of this story is quite sus ever since the princess was introduced.
Now with Nigun, it really sounds quite the meme material when they shout his name like that 😆

At this point, I think the good side is too forgiving toward the bad side. We got it from previous episodes where the MC literally forgave the dude that has been abused him and almost kill him TWICE. But in this episode, it's about Nigun, dude literally got manipulated and gaslighted by a demon into doing various evil things when he was young. He acknowledged it after the demon finally showed its true face, but he still forgave that demon and even considered it a friend. Like bro, that freaking demon literally made you kill your own father, and you still forgive it? Lol.

And for the MC, bro literally met the Nigun dude like a day ago, and when Nigun's on the verge of dying, the MC breaks down crying like he’s a relative or something. He's even struggling to revive him when that Nigun dude just stabbed himself in the chest, WHY can't you even heal him properly like wtf were you doing when yourself got more injuries and even near death experience worse than a chest stab before?

Honestly, it was just okay to watch, but at this point, I’d rather drop it. The main character is like a 10,000,000% perfect hero, and I just can’t take it anymore. Just five minutes of this episode made me feel so bad

Yeah I guess he sympthizes with other weaklings but sheesh c'mon this guy was just a complete moron. Well at least they are letting him rot in jail, I can at least see the plausibility of the villagers wanting him to pay for his crimes instead of a quick and easy death. And Ein gets his shitty destroyed monster infested kingdom, gee thanks. Good luck rebuilding that.

As if Ein learned anything about his past fight against Zoid, this battle against yet another demon viscount of Shadow the Enticer, it's clear that he still holds to his goody-two-shoes personality to extract Nigun and minimize damage as much as possible. And just like anyone being given a second chance at life, Nigun seeing the wrong of his ways to remove himself from Shadow, at least the villagers acknowledged his return to humanity.

As for Ein, his job is done handling Nigun's problems, but the task of being the new noble of the Rayshik domain taking over from Nigun, everyone showering his praises are compliments and all, though that adds to his problems furthermore.

Well, another accomplishment for Ein...nothing much more to say.

it's great that Nigun was saved, and he is decent enough to admit his weakness & asked for help. Ein just keeps collecting his wives; poor Alice, she can't believe she is wife #4 lol

Huh, so I guess they aren’t redeeming Shadow, Nigun actually tried to but Shadow was like “lol nah I’m evil bro”, fair enough lol, Shadow did kill Nigun’s dad and all, and also tried killing the citizens so yeah I can see why he’s not getting that treatment. And I’m ngl, I kinda liked this battle, Ein actually struggled for once (I don’t count the monster horde) and I enjoyed Shadow’s fuckery by sicking monsters on the people, he was a true dickhead, which is also why it felt good seeing him get a knife through his body and get exploded later, kinda ironic that the guy who went on about taking advantage of weakness was actually pretty weak himself without a host, basically he’s a parasite that leeches off others, the true lowest of the low.

This story arc in general I enjoyed quite a bit, I wasn’t feeling it at first but Nigun’s story and the battle with Shadow turned it around for me, but of course after that it went back to women gushing over Ein lol, good things don’t last forever as they say. But I do enjoy the waifu shenanigans really, one of the best parts of the show is the girls imo so more of them is always welcome. Now I wonder what the last two episodes hold, it’s not enough time for a whole arc so it’ll be interesting to see how they close the show out, I highly doubt Echidna is being beat at least lol.

So the noble found his way and was not evil all along, the sneaky demon got caught and Ein finds out that there is a hit out for him. What a minor plot progression point

Who wrote that crap, like
"our feelings will reach him" - when initial healing didn't work
"I still think of you as a friend" - nigun to demon
what the hell?

mc would set demon go free in exchange for intel - like, how does that make any sense for that mary sue mc. He expected that demon to join society and work the fields?

mc is so selfless, good and caring it is vomit inducing :|

I kind of like that anime when it is about traveling and looking for sisters, but jesus when it tries to be deep and intelligent it reaches lowest lows.
When I was watching first episodes, I thought, why so low rating? Now I know.

That was not as eventful of a fight as I thought it was going to be.

Then again, since Shadow was holding Nigun’s body hostage, Ein couldn’t really fight back, until he simply called out to Nigun multiple times, like how Naruto called out to Uselessness to break out of Ino’s Mind Transmission Jutsu during the Chunin Exams, or how Asta got Patry back into the fight after he became a demon. What I didn’t expect was for Nigun to try to sacrifice himself to kill both himself and Shadow, and the two of them reminiscing, but Shadow obviously didn’t feel any connection to Nigun.

Then Shadow ends up being some kind of chameleon-looking parasite that can hop between bodies, and luckily he was taken care of. Ein tried to interrogate him, but Echidna has contingency plans lined up so she can’t be exposed so easily.

Well now Ein is no longer just Ein. He is the noble of the Rayshik domain and he is now known as Ein Rayshik. Luckily for him Jasper is willing to handle the noblework so he can focus on finding the secret dungeons and reuniting Yuri with the rest of her family. So far they have found Pina and Alice, meaning there are six more sisters for them to find.

Who is Ioana? Is she working with or for Echidna? How does the demon hierarchy work?

This episode really tested Ein's morals with Shadow fighting dirty by using Nigun as a shield and the other villagers as distractions. Still it wasn't enough to stop Ein, especially after he got through to Nigun and helped him regain his will to fight back.

Shadow sure was conniving, heck he avoided death multiple times this episode alone! but clearly he was being used by someone who's an even bigger schemer with the way he blew up after leaking information.

Ein's moving up in the world now that he has a title!
