I'm not sure how many Beatles fans are here on MAL, but I really wanted to start a thread to begin a discussion on Beatles!

What are your guy's favorite Beatles albums? What are some honorable mentions of compilations, bootlegs, or other albums released in your area that had a different compilation of songs?

I'm using the original British listings of Beatles albums rather than the US or any other region listings. This is the originally intended versions of their albums and ones that you can find most commonly on streaming platforms.

I was introduced to them in 6th grade when i got Love and a portable CD player for Christmas. Sgt. Pepper’s is the only other album that i had, though even on Love i was always partial to “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “A Day in the Life”. As a kid “Eleanor Rigby” was my favorite.

Quite frankly, I'm a Beetles hater, I don't get why they got popular, or why do people still mention them

@cyandaqil LOVE MENTIONED! That's a fantastic album that I was debating putting on here, but it's more of a compilation and a musical than anything.

Fantastic that you were partial to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, A Day in The Life, and Eleanor Rigby. I'd suggest checking out Revolver if you're a fan of that surreal feel that Love and Sgt. Pepper's had. What a throwback!

I'm not the biggest fan of them, but Abbey Road is a really good album. My favorites songs are "You never give me your money" and "I want you (she's so heavy)".

Help! is a special album too: I used to listen to it during the winters when I was still in School. Songs like "Ticket to Ride" and "It's only love" make me nostalgic. I also appreciate how on this album you can see that they were writing more serious and mature lyrics.

It's hard to say, but for right now, I'll go with Abbey Road. Sgt. Pepper and The White Album are close behind.
"Molly Ringwald" out right now - check my Linktree!

@idetastic i think I’ve gone through most of their albums now. I had one day in early 2021 i think where I put a bunch of their albums on queue for a 10 hour day and they ended up as my top artist on Spotify that year. But Love was probably the best introduction to them as it had a good selection on one disc. I spent a lot of car rides listening to it.

Definitely has to be The White album for me. Truly the quintessential Beatles album in the sense that all the musical styles presented in the album are a tapestry of the identity of The Beatles. Ranging from folk, classic rock, to avant-garde the album is highly varied and calls for repeat listening experiences.

Objectively, all the albums have something that can captivate the listener, although there are many prejudices against Beatles listeners, in my experience.

The best would be:
Abbey Road
Revolver
White Album
