When the episode started, I was a bit disappointed that they skipped all the way to the end of Unrivaled Super Hottie Arc.But at least we got to see a bit of the skipped stuff in the short at the end.
I love how dramatic this show gets with portraying the guild elites talking to each other when in reality for them, they’re most likely either standing motionlessly in a room in the game or text chatting.
Very impressed by the Ye Xiu/Zhang Jiale fight, especially when they worked the boss into it. The animation and choreography got weird at times, but the creativity of some of the shots they went for really stood out.
Love that we got a glimpse of the Dazzling Hundred Blossoms account. I think it, along with Blossoming Chaos, also appeared in the movie rejecting Excellent Era’s offer when they were short a member.
I don’t think An Wenyi (the main cleric healing Ye Xiu) appeared this early in the web novel, since they were mostly prioritizing introducing Zhang Jiale. Cool that they started to build him up.
I like that they explained the Sacrificial Roar/Maelstrom Counterattack trick with the clerics constantly healing him. We never got that kind of explanation for things in season 1 and knowing how it’s supposed to work really adds to the scene.
Despite how much I loved the fight, the conversation between Ye Xiu and Zhang Jiale at the end was the highlight for me. The show (and story in general) has been pretty good at setting up rivals; characters like HWQ, WJX, and now ZJL who I want to see Ye Xiu and his team face again, but also characters that I want to see succeed themselves. It’s that focus on rivalries that really sets sports (sports/games/any SoL competition stuff) stories apart from other genres: there isn’t really a villain (okay, besides Excellent Era in this case), but the conflict is driven by how all these likeable characters want to win, but only one can.
The versions of the episodes I’ve been watching this season has been pretty bad with subtitles (still upset about Thousand Creations being translated as All Accomplished), but the subs this episode were pretty solid; the only oddity I noticed was them calling the guild leaders “presidents”.

The way they adapted the USH arc wasn’t how I imagined it, but I’m satisfied nonetheless. Can’t wait for more next episode. Although, that does make me curious what’s going to happen in the last episode this season, especially since they’ve been skipping more and more of the story these last few episodes.

I have to say, Unrivaled Super Hottie is a cool name. XD

The fight scenes were pretty cool. For Ye Xiu to level up a new character within two days is pretty impressive.

Now Ye Xiu found a new person to recruit, the cleric.

Just to clarify, Ye Xiu didn't level up the account. It's an account that they had bought already fully leveled. The show cut out a bit where Ye Xiu wins a bunch of level 70 accounts from a rival net cafe owner.

Sorry to hijack but I loved this episode, though does anyone know the song that played after the fight scene with Zhang Jiale? Where he says Glory can exist here where we first started playing?
It sounds familiar and I cant quite make out the lyrics to google :(

This should be the song you're looking for. They used an instrumental version of it for the OVAs (specifically when Ye Xiu starts his the Rising Dragon Soars the Sky), so that's probably why it sounds familiar.

he didnt choose it but it fit his him quite well it was a lvl 70 bought by a rival net cafe owner as payment for loosing a bet it was a 70 of every class though that one is the best named though

also his goal entering tyrannical ambition as a spy was to find a diamond in the rough of the healer variety since his team is lacking one
