| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Seems the stakes are raising higher and higher for Hiiro in this show. I mean, a tournament has ranks and he has to climb the ladder. The highest seems to be Grandmaster and who knows, maybe someday, he might make it. Until then, he has to at least acquire master rank. |

To be fair, this ep's opponent felt like he was scouting him. It's clearly showing if Hiro came up against these in a real match, he'd get smacked down real hard. Plus he's only recently started, so they gotta show the fun bits of the game at first, before showing how really tough it'll be, and how Hiro will have to get stronger to battle better and actually beat these at their bests. |

| Hiro won is an asspull but i think Hiro's opponent who is a Grand Master let him win so that Hiro could feel the harsh truth of the insane difficulty of fighting someone who is clearly higher rank that you and obviously stronger than you. 4/5. |

Since bane is an effect that activates after the two followers clash, the second time Ignis Dragon attacks the lion is already dead, and there is no follower to clash with, so bane didn't activate that time. The fights has been getting better. Nowhere near perfect, but I feel like they show more of the battle's progression than the first half's. |

| That guy truly was a grandmaster, he stacked buff and effects after effects damn. Also I'm pretty sure he somehow purposedly lost or the anime is just rushing too much to conclude this series fast. No surprises on the rushed pacing tbh since this is just a advertise after all. Anyway time for the national tournament. |

| After the sick sister plot from Yu Gi Oh, now we have a younger and blonde Pegasus as well. It’s like these guys are doing it on purpose. Young Pegasus: “Careful, my followers wont be affected by effects.” Hiiro tries an effect anyway. No damage taken. Hiiro: “What!? How could this possibly be!!?” What’s wrong with this character. |
