THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Two episodes in and I still can’t get over how well animated most of this show is, it’s really nice to see, especially in a sports show

Ayano is so good! Can't wait for some story development about her.

These tone shifts are really throwing me off...

They're using that reference here?

"The only thing people without talent are good for is making people with talent look good" Well she's not wrong...

Nagisa doesn't want to play against someone she can't beat? No wonder why she isn't gitting gud. To git gud, you must first get rekt.

Well that resolution was quick. And Nagisa is smiling now...I guess next will be Ayano...

Yu loves her hot dogs...

Now we got a pink-haired girl who loves herself. She seems to be the girl we saw in Ayano's flashback. This series originally looked really dramatic, but this new character seems to be more like comic relief. I hope they don't shift the tone so drastically in the future episodes...

Good animation; the badminton is dynamic and fun to watch and my interest was held during dialogue scenes, since it seems like something is always going on, like packing up or eating meat on a stick.

The drama feels realistic enough, helped along by the direction that seems to feel more like a naturalistic fly on the wall style than something highly stylized.

The story takes it as self-evident that Ayano must play badminton because she has talent, but one must wonder, does someone with talent have any obligation to use it? The happiness of the individual isn't being considered here.
(although it will no doubt turn out to be the intervention of someone who understood Ayano's feelings better than she did herself, i'm certain)

Well that issue was easily resolved...

I can't decide whether the animation of the movements during the matches is amazing or awful...

Hmm so no result, eh? But Ayano still joined because of Erena. Damn, that was weird af as the whole reason. Why would Erena do that? Why Ayano acted like that? No answer at this episode. Atleast soon enough they would make a better teammate in the next competition, because, yeah that perverted coach really like to push hard his student. Damn, you dude. So thats it, suddenly Aragaki apologise, and everything gonna be allright and forget the whole problems. Ayano and Aragaki lack of partnership.

Interesting development for the characters but I really feel like this anime is going to be too overdramatic

Well, more training for now. Nagisa and Ayano paired up together isn't a good combination for now. Well, mainly because Nagisa doesn't look around her. A better pairing was with Izumi. Anyway, the second part of the episode where the coach went against Nagisa felt a bit off. Not the match itself, that was pretty good. But the conclusion. Everyone knew that he would give some motivation speech but holy shit? Her personality changed in a millisecond. Someone who tortured people for weeks became an adorable and friendly teamplayer and everyone randomly forgave her with just an apologize..

More training.

Nice character development for Nagisa. She also realized she had behaved badly.

Ayano joined the club. That's great. :3

Again, this show looks so good and the movements during the matches are so well animated.

Seems like Aragaki will finally chill out a bit, she should apologize to Yuka as well so they can return to the club. Animation was really great again this episode, nice.
