| I can only remember in the first ep Luffy ate his, I dont recall him being disgusted but who knows he can eat anything when hungry. Bluenos powers are trippy. |

| this episode was interesting because we got to actually see a devil fruit and someone eating it! i wonder what kind of powers they will gain. i think they might become animals like Lucci but thats just a guess |

| Go, Gomorrah! I think they'll just about make it. Poor Chopper, too, his ability to talk to other animals is really useful but I'm sure just as painful when they are hurt or dying. I'm kind of hoping the CP9's new devil fruits powers are seriously stupid. I'm sure with time and imagination any power can be used to an advantage but I don't want them to gain anymore advantages. |

| I audibly shouted a cheer of victory when it cut to Usopp riding on the giants shoulders and ordering them where to go. It was a blessing he was left behind, and it must be empowering to be accepted by the giants he so admires, admires so much to remember every detail about their captains, and be treated like one of them! We have some new and powerful members on our side and a scene incredibly special for both Usopp and for those giants. It honestly made me realize the power of long running shounen, if this scene happened in a short series or in a movie it may be cheesy and kinda fun, but here it’s been built up for so long and it’s nothing but meaningful now. I was so ecstatic when I saw it happening in a way that I only could have been if it had built up the history of these giants from Elbaf and developed Usopp in all the ways it has throughout the start of the series until now. Usopp is a treasure to us all. The scene where Spandam gave a devil fruit to Kaku and Khalifa was quite fascinating. It both taught us more than we’ve known about devil fruits by seeing what they looked like, seeing how they tasted, learning it’s always a gamble whether or not it’s good to have one, by learning if you have two you will literally explode by having the two “devils”(unsure if its literal or analogical) fighting inside you, and one of the things that we’ve learned since Crocodile was reinforced- in the words of Lucci: The power doesn’t matter, it’s how you use it. In all likelihood you can’t turn weaker." It’s true, we’ve seen people like Ace, or Crocodile, or Aokiji with explosive monstrous powers that by no means were one’s they initially had when they first ate the fruit. Crocodile said it was something he’d trained for a long time. And to prove this point, Blueno with the seemingly combat impractical door door fruit utilized his power to sneak up on Luffy, get him locked into place, dizzy, and cut him to specifically counter his power. Any power can be amazing, it’s how you train and use it. Which is why I’m fascinated where Luffy and Chopper and Robin’s will end up as the series goes on!!! The other super cool part of this scene is that Kaku and Khalifa don’t even know what their powers will be and by no means will they have a mastery over them! We’ll be learning what they got with them. It also leads to point out that the only CP9 members which we don’t know if they have devil fruits are the Yayoi guy and the zipper mouth guy(although in his case his aesthetic may point out that he indeed has eaten one. I have to assume the one devil fruit a person rule is going to be an exception for some villain down the line. Blueno is putting up a serious fight and if I recall he’s one of the weaker CP9 members which is a bit scary. I was really excited for everyone to learn that not only a million no name navy dudes went down but also their fellow CP9 member Blueno did too, so I have to admit I was sad when Lucci noted the fact that he started fighting without them. Blueno has shown immense intelligence, he was the first to realize there was something wrong with the casualty report and the very first form of attack he did was.. attempt to cut Luffy’s rubber with tempest kicks. That’s awesome. He even locked him into place to do so with a surprise attack. I’m unsure how Luffy will get out of this situation, and I’m hoping that a point-blank tempest kick doesn’t hurt him too bad, this is his first real fight of Enies Lobby after all... Amazing episode!!! |
| Everyone's making massive contributions to the fight in Enies Lobby and Usopp ended up giving two giant helping hands! It's also inspiring to see that Gomorrah's determined to give his all especially after seeing what his brother's been through. It's an unspoken rule that two Devil Fruits would kill you since if it didn't, there would've been word of someone who has eaten two of them and survived by now but it's really nice to see some confirmation. Kalifa and Kaku's eaten Devil Fruits and I'm hyped and concerned for the Straw Hats at the same time. The tide of battle is turning and it's getting more and more difficult for Luffy... |

| Damn, Usopp- err I mean Sogeking is badass! Even though he isn't skilled in close combat attacks, he's still proven himself to be a vital member to the team! I hope he tell's Ussop to rejoin. Also, I was just wondering what would happen if someone ate two devil fruits. Hopefully they'll run into someone who has eaten two devil fruits and survived! |

| So basically, you wouldn't be able to know what powers you'll posses before you eat a devil fruit. It's just a matter of luck! Good thing Luffy happened to eat a devil fruit whose power is quite handy to the crew. |

| Whilst I haven’t been a fan of all the recaps during this arc, Luffy punching Blueno in the face was a very satisfying moment to rewatch. Loved the powerful sound design accompanied with that punch. Sogeking’s appearance with the two giants was amazing. Ussop always manages to win us over doesn’t he? I think he’s managed to redeem himself after his actions in Water 7. |
| How tf was the Kaishii giant able to get back on his feet after the massacre they did to him?? lmao Kalifa and Kaku eating devil fruits is interesting, hyped to see what they'll get.  The designs are cool (I found it funny how it's a banana and the other a melon?) but they taste terrible Hate to be the simp to say this but Lucci with a ponytail looks just as good if not better than with his hair down 🤧 |

| Man top tier Usopp moment getting the giants on there side. They will be a big help shortly. Big sea creatures are coming in clutch too. New bull guy of CP9 wouldn’t go down that easy. Classic thing of Luffy getting stuck. Hopefully he bounces back soon. But of everything the devil fruit was the best part of the episode. Some good lore there. Outside when Luffy was a kid I think this is only time we seen someone eat one on camera. And I’ve always wondered why someone couldn’t eat two. Will be very curious to see what there powers are. |
| When I saw Sniper King/Usopp interacted with that one giant in the previous episode and I wondered if he was going to convince the giants to join the side of the Straw Hats and my god I was right! Not only do the giants believe his story of meeting Dorry and Broggy on Little Garden but they accept him as one of his brethren, it’s great! Now that they know that they been lied to, they no longer need to side with the Marines anymore. Now they can cause some serious damage there. This episode also taught us how Devil Fruits work in general with the Kaku and Kalifa get some from Spandam and their scene where they are eating the Devil Fruits actually go into detail what Devil Fruits actually do. Apparently the fruits themselves judging by their reactions to them, taste horrible and apparently not the most pleasant things to consume. We know they give you powers and abilities if anyone eats one of those Devil Fruits that’s already a given. What we don’t know is that it’s a bad thing to eat more than one Devil Fruit like say two of them at once because if you eat two Devil Fruits you will basically make your body implode and die which just makes it disturbing when you think about it. And if you DO end up eating a Devil Fruit there is no guarantee that you will know instantly what kind of powers you will get from as they are apparently random side effects and you will only know by just trial and error alone. I honestly didn’t think we would get lore about them but thanks to this episode it makes things more interesting while I’m intrigued to know what Kaku and Kalifa got from them, it does make me worry what will happen in the near future. While Blueno is confirmed to be one of the weaker members of CP9, it isn’t stopping the man from trying to stop Luffy and I’d say in this episode he’s putting a fight. Turns out he ain’t using his door door abilities to transport himself but also to mess with Luffy’s face apparently and also trapped him where he is. I’m still seeing the fight in small doses but again it’s still shaping up to be an awesome fight. Amazing episode regardless though. |
