| I should have predicted that from Sanji lol. Overall, not a really outstanding episode, nice but quite minor. I guess things will get better though. |

| What an incredible start to Alabasta. Where do I even start, so much went on. I loved the difference between how Luffy, Zoro, and Chopper got ready to leave the ship when they arrived. Luffy didn't stay for a single world. Zoro dismissed Nami saying to talk after they get some food. And Chopper got ready to go like an excited little kid on a field trip. Usopp making sure Chopper was okay to go with Sanji to get the supplies made me realize something. I think Usopp views Chopper alike how he viewed the Usopp pirates. We've seen in countless situations, even in the filler movies, that Usopp puts on a much braver face around those who are scared and are seemingly more cowardly than him. I think that's exactly what he's doing with Chopper, even if Usopp isn't the bravest warrior of the sea, he's making sure that Chopper knows what one looks like. Chopper both making friends with Karoo and talking with that cool Camel is awesome. The fact that Chopper is with them now really means that a whole new class of beings can be communicated with. Animals which may have been food, obstacles, or in the odd case characters with ambition(like chouchou or Karoo) are all now on the same terms as humans, as long as Chopper is with them. I also greatly appreciate that we already got a stance of the mentality coming from the rebellion. Both their guy in charge stating that they didn't want anymore unnecessary bloodshed and from the dance powder guy explaining that the rebellion may have started due to the government banning their only chance of water. We can see that they are much more than a group of evil dudes, more so that they're a group of people fighting because they feel they need to, even if they are ultimately being played like puppets down the line. With the inclusion of the beloved Ace next episode, Captain Smoker; one of the only antagonists who aren't nefariously evil and actually fights for his non harmful dreams, the rebellion which is already being characterized, and the world building we've already seen I'm hopeful that this arc will live up with Drum Kingdom and possibly even Arlong. |
| They've arrived in Nanohana and Chopper's really having a hard time dealing with Alabasta's Perfume Capital upholding its reputation. Chopper stumbled upon Baroque Works' shady activities completely by accident and Luffy ended up finding out about rain-making contraband and how the World Government doesn't give a crap about each region's real problems. |

| So Mr 3 is already at Alabasta huh? Oh man, Luffy ran off. What a pain. The camel was a chad for helping Chopper. Not sure why but I think the Dance powder has a really big part in the rebellion taking place. Dayum. Nami and Vivi sure look hot in those ethnic wear. |
