| Not a fan of having Kitarou as the protagonist, and just not a fan of his character in general, and his character changes depending on what the story wants him to do, zero consistency, same as the story. Some of the events make no sense / are confusing. The show is way too random, but not interesting enough to keep it entertaining. |

| Another really random episode of Kitarô's quest for survival (or money), where the focus is on his victim (who happens to be Mizuki Shigeru again, just because?). 3/5 Funny things and good atmosphere again, but that's all... A good opportunity to discover the original tone of the Kitarô series, very good looking too. But the stories sequence is quite random even for a best-of. Also, the disappearance of Mizuki (refined as on-screen death in this adaptation) felt just off. Score: 7/10 |

| Was interesting to see how Kitarou's character differed from the Gegege version. Reminds me of how Charlie Brown started off as a bit of a psycho before turning into the loveable loser. |

| What an insanely fun episode. I really liked that end, people wanting an easy out got an easy out, and the yokai that thought they would get a free ticket back to humanity got ripped off, such a hilarious role reversal. |
