| personally, i think speedruns are kind of dumb and pointless. I've never personally tried one, at least professionally. The closest i've come was when i was a kid and didn't have a memory card so i'd have to beat games in one sitting |

| There aren't very many video games I would attempt to speedrun, with the exception of Castlevania 64. That's only because I play it so much I think it's probably one of the few I could attempt a decent speedrun at. As for watching speedruns, honestly I can't get enough of it! Something about seeing some of these gamers break the games the way they do with glitches and skips, has always been fascinating to me. "Awesome games done quickly" has a lot of good quality content, especially from past runs. |

| I think it takes some crazy amounts of energy and patience to speedrun games. I used to follow more speedrunners though I do not see them as active anymore. I used to also enjoy gladjonas and speedrun fails. |

| I used to speedrun Mario 3 all the time as a kid. I even knew some of the glitches and bugs, but these weren't used in the speedrun. You learn them since you basically start pushing against everything, trying lots of movements, and experimenting to see if any weird effects happen. This kinda shit was needed to get through a game like Zelda or Faxanadu which had fuck you levels of cryptic bullshit for a child who also recieved ZERO help. My record for that (any % no wrong warp) was 13:42, probably in like 1991, and by about 20 seconds this actually beat one of the first "official" world records in 2003 (14:09). This record was beaten by a minute 4 years later, and down to 10:41 today for the current world record. It's not too hard for a child to do this run, since it really is only like 6 levels that you can scroll, the rest autoscroll. I also used to speedrun Rainbow Road on Super Mario Kart. My main was Koopa Troopa. I managed to beat the Nintendo Power records by a significant amount of time, but this isn't saying much, as those NP records are limited to who could figure out how to use a camera to photograph the game correctly THAT CLOSE + had a camera to use on such things.. and also I lent the game to a friend who lost it ;_; It looked exactly like this except on the time trial, no other racers or items. You'd turn so hard Lakitu would give you the wrong way flag when you were just drifting (in the right direction!) What's funny is Koopa/Toad are among the slow characters, but they handle so well, they can have a lot more fast uptime compared to the rest of the cast. I think more than everyone but the two fast/heavy racers. For the absolute best time trials those heavies would probably need to be used as the current record is held by them. |

| I think it's kinda impressive, but I also have no intention of trying it. I feel like much like trophy hunting it'd take away all of the fun for me personally. Games can already be frustrating without adding extra challenges. |
| Never tried it myself and I don't have any interest in watching others do it but I've got to admit that some of the tricks people use to skip entire areas and all the weird bugs people find are kinda cool |

Considering that by HoMMIII logic, a few means between 1-4, there's no way you're ever completing most map in that interval, especially if the objective is to defeat all enemies. 3-4 real-life days? Yeah, I can believe you. As for me, I recently beat DS2 in 4 hours after not playing it for over a year. Not a speedrun, but huge nonetheless. |

| It is positively not my thing. Though sometimes there are achievements in games to complete the game in under a certain amount of time which I do enjoy but to be competitive in it is so boring to do for me. I don't mind watching people do it though. |
| I've watched one or two out of curiosity, but usually from creators I already follow. I don't speedrun games because I rather take my time and enjoy the game and its story, and I have never been fond of meta gaming. |
| I've seen a lot of people doing speedruns with games, but I've never really had the interest to do so myself. It's just way more enjoyable for me if I were to play games at my own pace. But, idk, there is still a chance that I might encounter a game or two in the future where I would like to try out a speedrun. |
| Not a fan. Even if a relatively easy speedrun par time was the last achievement remaining for a game I was otherwise close to completing, it's still unlikely I'd bother with it. |
