| Mini training arc and a Jubei later, and now we’re strong enough to beat Goemon and take the orb back... for sureeeee lol. Seriously, we need to give Sayaka a weapon or at least some kind of defense, because her just screaming “YaIBAAaAAaaAaA” every ten seconds isn’t cutting it anymore. At least when she gets injured, our boy here gets serious, and you know it’s serious because he takes the geta's off and locks the fuck in. Dude locked in and got the orb back, thankfully. If anything, the animation locked in too, but hey, credit where credit’s due. Anyways, as per usual with this show, once one threat’s taken care of, another one pops up, Onimaru-related or not. This time, it’s Yaiba and Jubei getting sent to some “dark world that grants any wish you desire"... uh, that's different from our past threat's I guess? |

| The ninja fight was really good, lot of sakuga wow, especially against the masked bear lol. But now Yaiba can be trapped in the void world forever they need to get out as fast as possible |

| We finally got a chance at seeing Yaiba get serious. Knowing Yaiba this dark realm of temptations will most definitely get to him. |
| Kinda wish they would keep Kappei Yamaguchi as that kappa just for the VA joke that him and Yaiba shares same VAs with Shinichi and Conan lol. |

Okay, with this needing to escape from the darkness orb and find two more orbs before dealing with Onimaru, this is going to need a few more episodes than 24, right?

| It's rushwd. In Yaiba Classic, I don't remember Goemon stealing the water and gold orbs. Instead, he stole the sphere of darkness from the fortune-telling shop where Yaiba et al supposedly bought it thanks to their lottery winnings. One improvement this adaptation made is how they rendered the place inside the sphere of darkness in black and white to represent pitch black. There was some colour in Yaiba Classic, albeit it's dark. |

| Great episode, probably the best one since the battle with Onimaru. It was full of action and sketches in animation considering how many actors were involved and how frenteic it was. Thank god Nadeshiko came back, she was missed in action. Goemon's nastiness could be seen from his tactics and attack against Sayaka which made Yaiba really furious and at that moment he turned to somewhat serious but also goofy to fully focused. It seems he really does care for her and by the end they were able to win and retrieve the stolen orbs. What's more is that another twist came up in the second half with the new orb being the one that suck people in with their wishes and desires. Jubei will play a major part here and will probably turn into a wolf at some point but it was a nice change of pace from the usual new power up moment. Just when the series seemed like it was getting a bit stale it managed to reinvent itself and that's something. |
