Are there any Internet resources that you use for a particularly long time? If yes, which ones and why? Are there any sites you've been using for a particularly long time? If yes, which ones and why? Do you still use them now or have you stopped for some reason?

I've used Google, Amazon, eBay and Yahoo! since they came out in the 1990s.

I was the first person to publish a review of a video game guide on Amazon. I was like, "Dis book is da bomb!" lol. (Not sure how many of you are familiar with that style of slang, but it was popular back then.)

I thought Wikipedia was awesome at age 7, I still do now. Probably the only site I've continuously used all these years (no I'm not counting Google).

The oldest one that I still use is Cagematch. I've been browsing it for wrestling show results since probably the late 2000s, only joined up and started contributing to it since 2020 though.
Love the site, wish I joined up much sooner to track events watched, but I hate how it's pretty much all-text based now.
I can still remember when they had profile pictures for the wrestlers, but they did away with those some years back. Also it's very frustrating to search for things there, even if you spell whatever it is perfectly accurately, there's a 50/50 chance that it will come up.

bahaha. I'm not that old. I have mentioned my age in a handful of posts: I'm 37.

420 chan before it went down is one that comes to mind. Used it even before I was an 18 year old senor.

For years for pokemon rom hacking I used whack a hack. It was entirely in spanish back in 2008.

MAL sine like 2011 but made an account in 2013 lol. Was way more useful back then.

Just fun examples that's more interesting than basic sites.

I'm sure there's a few I'm not thinking of, but off the top of my head:

I've had the same eBay account since 1999. There weren't a lot of places to buy anime stuff then, so it was a great resource to have, especially for unusual, older, or hard to find items. Obviously there are tons of resources for online shopping now, but I still use it for buying and selling now and then (not just anime stuff). My first purchase when I started the account was two Sailor Moon collectible cards, and my most recent purchase was a couple of Natsume Yuujinchou figures a few weeks ago.

I've been using the same accounts on both Amazon and YouTube since 2006.

I've been visiting Anime News Network daily since 1999.

AnimeLyrics.com since the early 2000s.

I've been visiting MAL for info since the late 00s, though I didn't move my list here until 2011.

Baka-Updates Manga and Nyaa both since the late 2000s.

A little more recently than the others, but Flickr since 2010.

And obviously sites like Google and Wikipedia for years and years, but I have no idea when I would have first used them.

I still actively use all of these.

That I still regularly use: I have a yahoo email account from 2006. It's not my only email though, or even my main one anymore. I usually use it for games and web 2.0 game forums (and for MAL).
