Well looks like all the girls got the try the new torture...i mean training machine and Rin dug her own grave and got to use it even more than the others.
Not that it was unexpected.
Speaking of training Towa was doing her dumbbell press wrong.
The restaurant they were going to was obvious Rin's grandma runs a popular place.

Really liked the laid back pace of this episode with everyone just enjoying spending time together. I was happy to see Hockenheim make an appearance I like to think they kept the old layout for the races, the slipstream battles would be amazing.

We got a few driver references this ep, going in order here

A driver that's "more memorable than the records" due to their beautiful driving style

That might be Senna, might be Schumi, tbh I didn't quite catch that one.

So obsessed with winning, they did anything for the victory, weaving carelessly left and right to block other cars, and crashing them out if they realized a win wasn't possible

No need to call out the Forza/F1 23 open lobby drivers like that, Sophia.

One absurdly fast driver kept getting into trouble and never became champion, as a result became known as the "Uncrowned King"

Honestly while watching this, De Cesaris came to mind, currently the most entries without a race win (Hulkenberg about to take that record).

On a quick note, the title of "Uncrowned King" usually refers IRL to the posthumous F1 champ Jochen Rindt.

Another skilled driver who was fast but crashed a lot was called the Destroyer

To me that felt like Pastor Maldonado (Maldonator).

One was called the Computer due to their calm demeanor and never making mistakes

This one felt more like Schumacher when watching, but can't really say for certain.

And a driver was nicknamed the Phoenix came back after a huge accident

Could be applied to Grosjean as well, but this one felt like a nod to Niki Lauda.

If anyone has a better answer to who is being referenced, please feel free to post, I also can't put back the feeling they might be referencing recent/current drivers due to this anime taking place in the future.

Here's a random plot hole in this episode. Youran brought the girls to king and queen's recommended place, and to nobody's surprise, it's grandma's Monjayak/Rin's home once again.

Youran said she was recommended after the recent race and seemed completely unfamiliar with it, but the thing is, she was there, sitting in the back and enjoying the food in episode 2, when Rin first brought Queen over to try it. Prior to King and Queen's visit, neither of them have even heard this type of food so she couldn't have gotten that recommendation before those events.

So I'm guessing the anime staff completely forgot they put Youran there. Either that or the Youran back then was actually an imposter or time-traveler from the recent future :P

Non-racing episode this time, more time with the girl racers, expect Queen.

With Rin being requested to train more, she decides to bring her racing friends along, even though their NOT apart of her team and its NOT for them, but they all partake on this anyways. To my surprise each of them went though this machine/ride which was like the spinney wheel of death... so besides Rin, I guess the rest all had it coming. All of them try to train themselves to be better while having fun traveling place to place for the day, there's nothing really much to it. Of course King and Queen don't do all of this, because their that confident of where their at right now (I'm 100% sure about it) so they'll just chilling for the day at home.

Overall other bland filler episode to reach half-way with this season, I will say one more thing for the AI Ami. As cool as it is for AI to know a lot about Queen, King and I'm sure the other higher-up racers way of racing and tactics (expect the rookies) this still doesn't consider cheating in anyway or did she put this off the wiki page lol. I'm not saying she lying, but I'm wondering what Ami plans to do with Rin after she questioned herself last episode about Rin being in "5th place". This could mean that Rin could do so much better, but Ami maybe blames herself for not getting her higher than 5th place, even though she told Rin "You either follow my way or have it your way" (something in the lines of that).

Idk, might just be me, but till next episode, give me Rin's backstory please.

The AI describing the competition was as helpful as a mediocre chatbot reading off Google search results and describing them in terms that are a bit too vague to be of practical use on the racetrack.

That aside, I think it's not looking all too good for the show when I'd rather prefer seeing more slice of life episodes such as this than the racing focused ones. Though admittedly I'm biased towards SOL drama versus car racing.

The rookies of Rin, Kanata and Towa all want to be on the podium so bad, and even ami doesn't have any information on them to mock them enough, so girls, better try hard. Plus, new training equipment for all of the girls to show up for a girls' day out (except Alice the Queen), Rin sure loves hanging out with the girls. But of course, this secret training comes with its own NDA to help drivers develop better racing abilities.

And when it comes to food, Youran going to Rin's restaurant place once again for recommendations from both the King and Queen, it's the ONLY one place where everyone communes. And going out to have fun, only to focus too much on the training aspect whereas both Alice and Lorenzo have their own interests, Rin really dug her grave too much this episode.

All for training, and no home...

@GameFanaticBR Thw destroyer was a nickname given to max verstappen by Nico Rosberg.

The computer was Lauda's nickname

Phoenix is obviously grosjean

The uncrowded king (whilst for a completely different reason) was a name given to Jochen Rindt
