Does anyone else get Disney Channel Sitcom Vibes from this show?

I am absolutely loving this show so far, the characters are well defined yet nuanced and the plot is just picture perfect slice of life imo. I don’t know why, but I just get this strange nostalgia when watching it, so much so that it reminds of Disney Channel sitcoms. I was just wondering if anyone else had these sorts of thoughts or could find the similarities that I am seeing. I don’t know, it’s just got that same charm that all of my favorite Disney Channel shows had when I was younger. Am I tripping?

Now that you mention it , it does kind of remind me of the banter from shows like Good luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly place, That's so Raven, I enjoyed as a kid but without that annoying laugh track.

hell yeah, I’d say the show that it gives me the most nostalgia for would be boy/girl meets world. Irc, that show went quite in depth with its characters and I see a bit of that similarity in Skip and Loafer

It really does feel more like a slice of life and that very light feeling it presents the viewers can really keep people watching it (no wonder it doesn't have a romance tag). I think there are people who drop this because they were expecting it to also have that romance component with subtle yet quick development but reading the manga made me see this is a really slow-burn story in terms of romance.

Ok I don’t mean it’s exactly like Disney Channel shows but it just has a little bit of that vibe. either way this is a great story and if you like slice of life then you will love this show

The natural dialogue in this show is not really that common in anime, and those Disney shows live by snappy dialogue. Is pretty much just that (plus some life lessons).
