Abusive father-master and the rest of the family does nothing. Maybe the same would have happened to Shoto's household if he snapped/rebelled like Tomura. Sooo, All Might's mentor is a villain's grandma?

What a hell of a story ...
It's hard to sympathize with a villain like Shigaraki but they managed to anyway.
That eternal itch was gone the moment the burden (his father) was destroyed.

Shigaraki just needed someone, just one person to care for him instead of just being bystanders ...
Nana Shimura leaving a scar on her son Kotaro for leaving him which he carried on to his own child by neglecting and hurting him too.

I'm glad we're finally getting somewhere with the story again, the villains are genuinely interesting characters as was shown by this crazy episode.

Nana Shimura just wanted to keep her son safe and for him to live a happy life full of laughter. Sadly, her good intentions did not produce a good outcome. Shigaraki's tough childhood due to his dad's hatred of heros and his unfortunate quirk awakening lead to quite the tragedy. How horrible..

woah. this was some crazy backstory. finally an episode which didnt feel like i was dragging. honestly this whole villain arc ive been feeling like that, but good that this episode was better

The episode was ok i guess, even underwhelming for me.
The attempt by the author to make us feel bad about shigaraki's story is disgusting.
Ok he had a harsh life, but it was because he refused to comply with the only rule of the family.
Correct me if I'm wrong but his dad only cuffed him once in his life and it's enough to make the kid go crazy?
You can't and shouldn't try to justify the murder of a whole family by just being punished to go to the corner.
Hope it'll get better next episode.

@UnBouquetin Exactly my thoughts. He was a whiny little brat and he still is. Someone who only wants to destroy because he's selfish and couldn't have all the pampering he wanted is just annoying to watch. I'll be glad when he dies, but I think I hate Toga more just because she's gross AND a selfish whiny brat who's annoying to watch.
