So that super energized punch of Milim would have killed Rimuru but was barely enough to give a head bump, at worst, to Veldora? And that despite Veldora being far weaker than before (per his sister) and Rimuru being stronger than ever? The relative power levels of this show keep on being confusing - or, more likely, they are just arbitrary (i.e. they just depend on the needs of the plot).

I mean we know that post-Demon Lord Rimuru is 10 times stronger than pre-Demon Lord and even then he/they was pretty damn strong; let's not forget that Rimuru took out an entire army before evolving. We know Rimuru is 10 times stronger because it was explicitly stated that after evolving he had "10 times more magicules", and we've been told that magicules are the singular measure of strength in the slime-verse. If Rimuru had tried to name Noir (to Diablo) before evolving to Demon Lord they would have probably died, since the magicules spent on Diablo's naming were quite more than Rimuru's original magicules.

Milim is still quite stronger than Rimuru but their power difference is much smaller, since Rimuru is now an order of magnitude stronger. So, if for instance Milim was originally 30, 50 or 100 times stronger than Rimuru she would now be 3, 5 or 10 times stronger respectively. The same applies to Veldora. So, I fully accept that just one Milim super-energized-punch would have been enough to kill the original Rimuru but not the Demon Lord Rimuru.

This looked and smelled like a plot convenience, to add some drama, have us worry after a very, very long time (since the battle with the 'Witch') about Rimuru's life, who has been a little bit too safe, and have Veldora appear as a Dragon Ex Machina at the very last moment to save the day.


I would suggest you read the second rule in that pink box at the top of this thread and every forum post.
