| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow what a forgetful episode, he probably just had an internal brain bleed caused from the bike crash in the beginning. Then he started hearing voices and hallucinating dude to internal cranial pressure, that then led to a motor imbalance which caused him to fall down the steps.......and that's why the Jizo statues head broke, it was all just a PSA about proper medical care after an accident. |

| Rather than pegging this as simply a head injury, I can't help but wonder if this is a commentary on the social effects of breaking taboo/tradition in Japan. Sure it was an accident, but the fallout from something like that socially, at least when you don't really care like Koichi doesn't about the Jizo statue, could be something that can get to you. Granted, this doesn't appear in story to be something that was actually happening, just paranoia in his head but still. I don't know, I just imagine there was some intentional message being conveyed here, because like, there has to be something to this episode right? Forgetful episode indeed. This was pretty bland. |
