THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
The Division Battle is starting to spread word around the various rap groups...and it seems like things are heating up. Even though it's obvious that the 4 big rap groups will be facing each other soon, it's nice to see a start point for all of this.

The Dirty Dawg that all 4 leaders were part of in the past, surely some sort of dirty dealing must've been going on.

But leaving that aside, lots of meagre rap groups to face in home soil, and Buster Bros!!! are there to wipe the slate clean as usual. Those rap monks are funny though.

Oh well, this is the start of the challenges incoming...and let 'em rap!

Finally real division rap battle started. I can't imagine which division wins but I knew original work result in single "Death Respect". You can know the result of victory or defeat in each divisions by listening past tournament songs.
Anyways, this episode was very tense. I loved Buster Bros new song and their visuals. Cameraman character seems good guy. His companions, too.

This show is hilarious. Great so bad it's good material. Terrorist rappers literally planting a bomb to blow up a power station so one of the show's main trios can't compete in the rap battle tourney. Episode 2 had a guy hold a bank hostage using microphones on his person instead of grenades. Hopefully it continues being a hilariously earnest trainwreck with the actual rap BATTLES next episode.

All the other stuff that happened aside...
A. For some reason I don't trust Tom, at least not yet. Something tells me there's a reason why he's interested in all the groups.
B. I'm so glad I haven't spoiled myself by reading the manga yet because I can't wait to find out what happened with The Dirty Dawg and what Ramuda did. I loved how his voice changed when he went all dark. He's such a fun and interesting character that also isn't all that meets the eye. His involvement with the party of words already seems shady...
So excited for actual rap battles to start, I can't get enough of the music.

So we will get to see the battles, huh. Maybe now the anime will show us canon stuff, at least in the end, when the four main divisions get to battle each other like in the mangas and the Drama CDs. But I'm still wondering what this anime-only division is gonna do...

This episode was fire. The visuals of the rap were MAGNIFICANT. I already want to know more about The Dirty Dawg. Ramuda is planning somethings, and it ain't good.

I was hoping for the rest of the season to not focus so much individually on each division but here we are again with a ish Buster Bros focused episode. I'm not complaining though, it was fun either way and we also got to see the other characters even if it was very short. Now that they are discussing and planning the DRB I really hope they will finally adapt something from the manga series, I have my doubts HOWEVER they did talk about the tragedy of The Dirty Dawg for a bit, which also made me sooo sad because oh my lord I dont want to remember that angst ;; We saw them basically rip off a manga panel from the manga series, and it hurt my heart. Ah it was beautiful though, hopefully this is a good sign!

AND MAY I JUST,,,,, the Ramuda and Ichijiku scene???? Dark Ramuda came out and I was not prepared. Man, finally people who dont already know about Ramuda's split personality will know that he is a lot more than his cute and bubbly looks and personality.

I also think Tom is really beautifully designed, man those eyes. I also enjoyed the bonding between him and Ichiro, it was cute.

I wonder what the next episode will bring on the table, maybe something Matenrou related again??

Yeah, finally they've pick up the main plot for real. The schedules already on planned. That prime minister lady had her own plan for the rap battle tournament. She wanted to get rid of every men that might became a potential thread for her positions, surely to be her main motivation to held the rap battles.

The chart has been arranged in such a way that the 4 favorite divisions would certainly advance to the semifinals, and battling with each others. Such a solid plan as the continuations of their previously disbandment team. Yeah, they were basically in the same team before. Only some evil plot schemes that eventually broke them apart into a separated teams. Its interesting to see their development when battling with each others.

More importantly when Samatoki MTC might had a chance to met Ichiro BB, that seemed to having some bad past before. Well, Ramuda seemed to know something unexpected would be happened toward that huge tournament. But, its still unclear for him. When the other teams like Matenro, and MTC seemed didn't had anything to said much against the incoming rap battles. Well, i am ready to their battles!

About the second part. Well, its good to see Ichiro had a good connection with Tom. His plan to defused the bomb via that liquiid nitrogen was so brilliant. Well, The whole terrorized scheme, and their rap one sided battle were just a laughable material for me. Because that monk rappers looks like a joke to me, not just their funny appearance, their yelling sounds so irritating and not much motivated. Lets just bring the actual rap battle, you dammit!

So the Party of Words have finished preparations for the division rap battle(DRB) and the qualifiers have officially begun. Eventually its going to come down to Buster Bros, MTC, Fling Posse, and Matenro in the finals as the leaders of those groups used to be members of a super group called The Dirty Dog. Ramuda has turned out to be a plant for the Party of Words as he was responsible for breaking up The Dirty Dog, but its not whether he will follow through or not. The Buster Bros were getting ready for their DRB qualifier until they heard a group was trying to sabotage the entire event in Ikebukuro by planting a bomb inside the power station. Luckily, the Buster Bros defeated the sabotage group and got rid of the bomb thanks to Tom and his photography crew.

Yesss, another BB episode *_*

I love their songs. So good!!!

And Tom is such a nice guy. Ichiro and Tom do have a lot in common.

I just wanna live in Ikebukuro at this point hahahahaha

The party of words is using the boys to hide something. But I think all of them already know that there is something shady about this competition. I wonder what they can against the prime minister though.

Damn, was that Ramuda's real voice.

Another buster bro's centered episode ish. The tournament has finally began and Buster Bros stopped a terrorist attack by the one punch man gang.

I really liked the song this episode though along with the dope visuals. Let's go, give us some rap battles.

Love the fact that you can't use guns but can walk around planting bombs instead xD

Kinda boring episode overall. Only aspects I found interesting enough were the mention about the four divisions' leaders being part of an old group called "The Dirty Dawg" and the fact that it seems Ramuda is playing the "snitch" role for the government.
Honestly, I would have preferred the DRB to start off this same episode but well. Seeing Tom and his group receiving more screentime was nice tho.

WELL, THE DIVISION RAP BATTLE IS GOING TO START FINALLY.
__________________________________________________________
I've been waiting for a long time for this... I hope they put in some real battles like instead of the one we got in the episode with Buster Bros fighting some random rappers from Saitama.
Well, hopefully, things will get juicy.

i was gonna write this huge thing but i think i can summarize this show with one phrase:
show, don't tell
hypmic does better as a drama cd series and the anime kinda proves it in a way, especially this episode
i'll probably do an actual full review later on instead of shitting up each and every episode discussion LMAO

also fucking lol at the monks, the side character groups are great, QUALITY animation is my favorite

I love that there is no black market for firearms, yet bombs are readily available lol.

So Ramuda was Chuohku's insider and orchestrated the break-out in Dirty Dawg days huh? I wonder what is he getting out of this, can't imagine it being a hostage scenario. Ichiro claimed both he and Samatoki were aware they were pitted against by Chuohku, but I bet they don't know of Ramuda's involvement.

Ah but of course, in the tournament 4 big teams are scattered in such a way that they won't be facing off until the finals, to maximize the amount of time they'll be distracted. I like that something that would normally be a minor plot device is actually explainable by villains' motivations instead.

I'm calling it, the next episode's ending sequence will be sung by Fling Posse

Ramuda talking in a lower pitched tone caught me completely off guard, I had to rewatch the scene a couple times to actually figure out that it was him talking and not someone else. Looking forward to finding out what happened to the dirty dawg group.

Ramuda.... 𝘩𝘦 broke up The Dirty Dawg?! I did not know that... this is my first experience with the dark Ramuda that I've heard about and it's pretty cool seeing behind the cute bubbly facade.

Another ep focused on Buster Bros but this one was a lot better imo! The battle against the Saitama group (who were to be baldies like a certain other Saitama we know!) was awesome. Buster Bros definitely have the best songs!

So, Ramuda is a traitor and the government's pet. Welp, the division rap battle officially started. It's pretty obvious that the four major team will win each blocks' qualifiers. Hope they'll help each other in he end to overthrow the government.

but bringing a dynamite onto a power plant is a bit far-fetched? hmmmm...
Tom and the group of photographers are now allies with Buster Bros!
