Ooohh Maiden yo~~, what a confusing world to love in.....

What a faqin bold anime, daring I must say- going through such serious topics. but to do it in such comical way is a bit off.... understandable cuz' this is how this anime is and ye plot is still good(ish) as is BUT the way they handle such issues, it just don't sit right.

The show was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for me. Initially I laughed a lot because I felt so much secondhand embarrassment. I was optimistic going into this thinking that it was going to be a light-hearted show, but boy was I wrong. As the story took on a darker tone, touching on controversial topics and the uglier side of humanity, it felt like a big mishmash of situations and conflicts were just thrown together. The build up was rushed and not fleshed out enough. Even the characters felt a bit incomplete. I felt uncomfortable watching several scenes and even questioned whether to continue watching. This was like an anime version of Degrassi or some teen soap opera.

A good ending for this show ngl. It took all kinds of unexpected turns and in the end I think it gave each of the girls somewhat of a conclusion while not really closing each door separately because, well, their emotions will just be there even after the credits roll. that's the thing with writing a story about feelings, you can't really put a nice little bow and a caption with "and then they lived happily ever after" with these things because that's not how feelings work.

Half of the people don't even realize what this anime is about, overall a 7.5/10 it'd weird but makes sense, strong anime.

I feel like it could've been fleshed out more, and character arcs needed to get more time than they did. But overall? I really enjoyed this show, you don't see these topics being talked about a lot in anime. Amagi x Sonezaki kept me sane I love them, really adorable.

@OutOfGalaxy For some reason, they didn't play much with filler, even though the show was written by the manga author herself. They even adapted the epilogue 1 into 1, which was published after the anime.

Fun anime. Now that it's finished, time to discuss, who in this show would you clap with? Mine is Niina.

Some absurdities towards the end but overall a satisfying ending. Was worried Kazusa and Izumi ship would sink, but it became even more solid. Glad for those two.

Loved the formal parallelisms in this last episode (the "it fit" line comes to mind).

The whole color tag sequence was, although also capable of causing aesthetic enjoyment in me, was, on the other hand, frothy with certain stylistic contrasts that really managed to get my soul wondering.

I'm disappointed with how the whole Kazumi/Izumi/Sugawara situation was resolved. Sugawara considers Kazumi her closest friend—so how do you justify making a move on your best friend’s partner? And then she just gets away with it. Kazumi doesn’t even express real hurt or betrayal; instead, she apologizes and encourages Sugawara to confess. she wanted to mess their relationship and steal her bf.

Its good confessing your feelings helps you move forward, but man it just feels selfish on her part. Kazumi just accepts this, her best friend trying for her bf. I understand such situtations happen irl but I didnt like anyone not calling out Sugewara, girl needs therapy!!

The tag resolution was a bit nonsensical, but everyone survived the hormonal wastelands to go away happier and wiser. I totally expected that "It fits" at the end!

The whole show was awesome, pretty much since Izumi got caught "red-handed." Only things I didn't like were:

- Sonezaki losing her glasses (BOOOOOO!)
- Juujo dropping out. Weren't they already in the tail-end of their final year? She could've graduated before ever showing and no-one would've been the wiser had it been kept a secret. At least she's a happy MILF

I loved Hongo's Lauren Bacall-ish stare, if only she didn't have that loli build...

And I was so hoping Niina would end up with Izumi so Momoko and Kazusa would hook up.

@SlammyHammy Are you sure you haven't mixed anything up? Momoko was only in love with Niina.

@RobertBobert Not at all, it was mostly just my wishful shipping.

However, at the beginning of ep 11, Momoko asks Kazusa if she would rather sleep with her or the teacher if the world was going to end, and she was thoroughly disappointed when Kazusa chose the teacher mainly because he was a man.

Of course, Momoko could've just been looking for reassurances from her sexual confusion, but I believe that she did have some underlying feelings for Kazusa that went beyond simple besties, and maybe she didn't want to jeopardize the friendship while Izumi was still in the picture (like Niina was doing).

@SlammyHammy Well, Momoko is canonically strictly a lesbian, so you can make of it whatever you want. Though mostly on her part, since Kazusa is straight, and Niina x Momoko at best got an open ending for the viewer to choose.
