Lol, it seems the guys still uses their fists to solve problems.

Awkward drama aside, the two twin girls were amusing to watch. Also, I wonder if we'll see more of that compass soon. Seems like an important object in this show.

Kondo is beyond help with his loyalty to Mugensai, he didn't hesitate to betray his former master Yoshinobu to kidnap the emperor. I get he wants to build a warrior era with Mugensai, but at least he should've listened to Yoshinobu's proposal for a new Japan before tearing that up. Hopefully the emperor will come at a compromise with Mugensai, that is why he didn't mind the abduction.

As for Sakamoto, it kinda sucks that he foresaw his death. Although he said he will prevent it, death is inevitable in reality.

Looks like Sakamoto has a DIFFERENT plan for using the chronometer, but for what purpose is still up in the air. Seems that he also knows about Takasugi's demise via Katsura.

And it seems that it's becoming more bizarre by the minute. The more the chronometer is targeted to correct it's time of flow, others could live, and others like Takasugi could die, indefinitely.

Somemore, as both Katsura and Takasugi have been ascertain of the chronometer's feel, suspicions start falling into place. Katsura's goal of wanting Takasugi to live vs. Takasugi wanting to correct the flow of time without knowing the consequences.

As for Kondo and Yoshinobu, the whole farce of "following Masters" and the "new Japan" plan that the new (obvious) Mugensai wants to envision, unfortunately lands in his favour due to his "devotion" to the latter. Brainwashing tactics somehow. Kondo is beyond help at this point, but what is his goal?

Now at close to the last quarter (Episode 8), may the "true" Crisis begin.

Sakamoto knows how he will die, and now he's confused about what to do.

Kondo sadly is still true to Mugensai II, and has captured the emperor. Will Kondo ever realize what's better for the world?

Seems like things are starting to get more serious, with the emperor being captured
