Hmm, seems we got some storytelling on a side character although important to this particular episode.

Marriage is definitely an issue at the upper class society. Felt like the action had less action compared to some of the other episodes but more drama. Some aristocrats can be so persistent though.

Interesting episode with some decent story at least. Danchou never ceases to amaze in the outfit that she comes out with. Rurou sure was lucky though managing to not just survive that fall but also be rescued by no less a lord as well. Rose though sure had it hard losing her parents like that. But the gift that was left to her sure did well in bringing her back. The reaction of the noble to his loss sure was priceless. Despite her desire to help her people seems Rose also hides a degree of sadness inside her. Hmm the excalibur this time sure was rather complex as it helped bring happiness and joy to not just Rose but to her people as well. This episode showed well the types of struggles that can come from the mission.

I'm curious as to what happened to Rose at the end? The episode didn't make it clear enough, at least for me.

This was a really sweet and wholesome episode not gonna lie. But what happened to Rose tho?
"I lost all of what you could call feelings of love. They weren't sealed, so they can't be released. They weren't broken, so they can't be fixed. That which is lost, cannot be recovered." Shiba Tatsuya
"There are no regrets. If one can be proud of one's life, one should not wish for another chance." Saber
"No matter what happens, no matter how crazy things get, I'll always try to restore balance." Korra
"It's madness to let others take what's yours and accept it blindly." Baatar Jr
"Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body, hoping to be wrong." Zaheer
"Partner in crime, partner in time" Chloe Price and Max Caulfield

Wow, this episode was rather depressing.

Rurou took away Rose's happiness by destroying the Excalibur. That bothered me.

Since the entire point of destroying Excaliburs is to put history back on course, and according to Renkin, the history of that village is that Rose fell into despair and the village dissolved, I guess that is what happened.

In that case, it seems like the Excalibur destruction squad are the bad guys.

I must say this episode is the most interesting so far, even if it is a sidestory

Pretty hard decision for Rurou knowing what future that village and the girl had

Dancho's cheerleader outfit!!!
Everyone leaves Dancho*
Nucklavee: Cheer up...

One thing I don't get about this episode is why it was so important to destroy the Excalibur this time round? Renkin's explanation wasn't really clear. In an accurate history this village shouldn't exist? So what if it does? Why does it matter for the history to be accurate? Who is getting harmed? While I feel like no one is at fault here and Rose just being extremely unlucky, it still doesn't sit right with me that it wasn't shown what happened to her. And that likely the Arthurs just left her to despair. Rurou did that to the person that saved him? Pretty depressing episode compared to all the past episodes, Rose isn't a bad person, she doesn't deserve this.

It's not a great show by any means, but this episode was garbage. Zero closure whatsoever for what became of Rose. Did she die of heartbreak afterwards as she originally was supposed to? What did he even shoot? Her? The shears? How does one shoot shears and break them? Going back in time was teased but nothing there I guess... they just kind of said fuck it and ended the episode. I rather know what became of the woman whose parents were murdered who was destined for despair then some damn bird name lucy
