Well that escalate quickly. The part about the Ray Ring will probably be more clear as the story progresses.

Seita seems like a decent charactera although I'm not feeling much for the romance part yet when it comes to his relationship with Awayuki. The comedy timing feels kinda off too but I don't think that will be a big problem. Maybe this could be good?

Confession still feels a little non-sequitur with only that exposition, motive and reasoning for falling in love aren't exactly relatable either. Well, hopefully the bland and dry atmosphere will evolve into the maturity that the mangaka is trying to achieve, but it seems like the heroine's hand-to-hand combat skills aren't going to matter, so at this rate she's just going to turn into a damsel in distress.
Is this romance really worth endangering the earth with 7 billion reapers? The MC is an ally of the weak, after all. Seems like an easy decision.
