| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah, looks like we're back to the regular youkai stuff. There's some bath fan service but nothing really too distracting. I think we got one of the most talkative youkai in this show so far this episode. Hard to take that thing seriously though when it looks like a talking bird. I'm not really sold into the humor of this episode tbh. The genie spirit is one of the oddest characters I''ve seen in this show as well. |

| Yup, "regular" stuff and also new person from Inaba's view. He brings lots of book too, which Inaba likes to do in his spare time. Well the "reason" for all the creatures summoned and then look like that is kinda predictable, though. Maybe except for Caith Sith. |

| Furuhonya is a funny guy. He was on a trip and brought back lots of books. One in particular was weird. It was sealed and Inaba released it. All of the spirits are quite lazy. He thought it was a dream, but it wasn't. Looks like him and Hase are in trouble. They're being chased by thugs. |

| So i was kinda triggered for a second there with the "book" thing, thought it will be too much like the 'Book of Friends' but thank Cod i was wrong. I mean, all of them just being useless cheap monsters was kinda funny. Although, not too funny, as i'm sure they intended. Anyways, me loving more and more Hase, such a cool character. I pretty much find all the characters pretty likeable. |

| I feel like they skipped some stuff from the manga, but it was still enjoyable. Now that Inaba has his book, things start to pick up from here on out. Plus we get to see a bit more from Hase soon. |

| The humor was painful to tolerate and the idea of summoning familiars from this book seems random given the first 5 episodes. Really do not like the way things are going with this episode and I won't continue watching to find out. |

| Furohon-ya was mentioning that MC is new in the apartments but how much time actually has passed? I've seen someone mention that its been a year or so? so how come he is still treated as new. Anyway i wish the anime would mention the time that was spent. Didnt really like the book part like others mentioned it does feel like Natsume but i also felt it's similar to Lucy's keys from Fairy tail, they were mostly useless whenever she tried to use them, the regular keys i mean xD Overall the book segment was not very exciting as it could've been not just because it felt similar or the same to other aniems but because it was just not done very well and wasnt exciting because of it. I wanna say i like the anime because of ep 3 and 4 mostly but my main reasons for not liking the anime is MC's friend, i have no idea why he's even in the anime and takes precious screen time. He is really bland and uninteresting. ALso i do not buy for a second that MC can cry in those situations, he cries way too often, alright in ep 3 i can let it slide because it was emotional, but in this episode? why would you cry?I dont think any male can cry in that situation so that felt very forced to me. And my main complaint is that i have no idea what direction this anime is going for, like what's the story? where are we heading? He already accepted that Youkai apartment is the place where he belongs, we got some backstories of some residents but what else are we gonna have in the anime? Anyway it looks like it has 2 cours so we'll see i guess what this anime has to offer. |
