| manglobe studios (Ergo Proxy, Samurai Champloo) is finally coming out with a new anime, Michiko to Hatchin. Sayo Yamamoto (worked as episode director and storyboarder for Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, and Eureka Seven) in her first directorial work. Takashi Ujita (scriptwriter for live-action Freesia) penning the script. Hiroshi Shimizu (animation director for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG, Kemonozume, and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi) designing the characters. Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo) producing the music. The title's Michiko is a free-willed "sexy diva" who destroys a supposedly inescapable prison fortress, while Hatchin is a girl fleeing her strict foster parents. The two join forces on an improbable escape to freedom. ANN Looks like a recipe for success. |
