| Regarding OP, there are so many moments in the episode where it can be put, but it keeps suprising in the middle of the ep. |

| The ending of this arc of the season is too theatrical for my tastes. Besides the melodramatic sequence leading up to the fight between Gide and Oda, the fight itself was silly. A bunch of agents from both the Port Mafia and Mimic rushed in during the fight and peppered both of them a rain of bullets, only for them to seemingly become incorporeal just to excuse them living through it. Following this, they start backstory dumping on each other while frozen in time for a third of the episode while opera music plays in the background. As far as I know, they have precognition in a visual form, not a time-stopping ability. Of course, they both die and Dazai conveniently appears at the exact moment Oda is about to pass for more cheap emotional pandering. Completely bombastic and ineffective writing. The first three episodes were fairly competent, but everything that happened here was boilerplate action movie material. |
