| And for those who didn't read the manga and wonder if this would be better than the first: The answer is a big YES! Details (no spoiler): - first of all, the second season (if J.C.Staff doesn't and change the original and fuck up), will not be that ecchi anymore. So the food porn will be pretty much out. There may be some small lewd moments at the beggining (I don't remember very well), but during this competition the ecchi foodgasm's will simply evolve towards: creative ways to show the taste, parodies and references from other anime/manga; so NO, is not like some said, it won't get old, because every reaction is unique, and you will find yourself waiting in anticipation to see what the next foodgasm brings on the table. About how none ecchi it gets? Well, in the manga, from chapter 60 (around where the anime ended) to 148 (the last update) we barely had some fanservice on the covers... other than this, I don't really remember any of it.... I mean, somewhere around 130, there was some random (while logical due to the situation) small panty shot (from a pretty big distance) of Alice, and all of us in the comments where like: ''WOW! Look! Pantsu!!! O O'' ... so yeah, something like that. This manga got so popular, and is so damn got, that the authors had the luxury to give up on excesive fanservice and drive the story using just the actual plot.... is like a reverse medal of Fairy Tail... - there won't be to much Erina in this one, at least in the first half... and after the competition she will evolve in a more likable character. - When it comes to predictable plot... well, is not that predictable as you will think, and when it is, don't worry, because it will be done in a fricking epic way.... and you will scream in joy or frustration even when the obvious happens. And if we get a 3rd season after that, you will all be like ''WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?! I never saw that coming!'' So yeah, this will be better than the first season, which was awsome anyway. And if we will ever get a 3rd season, that one would be better than the 2nd... Shokugeki no Souma is a story that gets better with every chapter. |

This is quite nice to hear tho i heard allot around how everyone that reads manga is saying that it only gets better, so iam really happy that we will get this 2nd season. About a 3rd season i think that gonna be hard since lately we barely see any 3rd season we are even lucky to get 2nd seasons since as it seems they just trying to push out new animes to gain better manga/LN sales at thoose. I really do hope that in future more animes would aim to finish what they start and really animate the whole thing then and no just force ppl to go read manga/LN. |

| If they expand on the story and don't rush it this could prove to be a really good anime. The graphics were on point, the plot is pretty unique seeing as it's all based on a school oriented environment for chefs. It's gullible to see the characters have orgasms over the tastes, but the sarcasm and challenges are interesting to watch. Also questioning if there's enough content to complete a second season like everyone else is. |
