| So this is how the Pars kingdom would fall. Almost like Troy. I'm curious why Kharlan became a traitor though. It seems like there's a deep reason behind his acts and when Sam ran away he called to him with some kind of concern. Maybe he's not that bad at all. Also, Gieve may annoy me with his Sanji-like attitude towards women but he's a skilled fighter and he seems like his hatred towards the noble class is coming from something. He might be from a slave family. |

| Pars has fallen as expected. Strange that the enemy know about the passage. RIP Sam. Arslan's team cannot do anything even if they arrive at the capital. Narsus though Kharlan is still looking for them but he's not. He better notice it soon. Now where did they hide the queen? |

| The dialogue between Arslan and the prisoner of war in episode 1 is realized at large at the capital's walls. The very foundation of Pars involves slavery, keeping slaves, and persecuting them. When a foreign power promises freedom to them, they will take it. Kill 10 "rebels" and they've made 1000 more slaves into rebels. Narsus knew a society like that wouldn't last and on the verge of the capital's fall, Sam tried to persuade the Queen and high-ranking officers to reform too. Narsus and Arslan must wonder if that was the reason of Kharlan's betrayal; he may have decided to take action instead of pretending the status quo would last like the royals or live in seclusion like Narsus. Silver Mask seems more motivated than just spreading the faith of Yaldabaoth, alone. Since Gieve tried escaping with a body double, I think the queen is still in the capital; not abandoning her people. |
