| I'm not usually lonely, but sometimes I yearn to have some body contact, a hug. I haven't even hugged someone for so long. I hug my body pillow when I get the urge, but it's just not the same :(( |

| No doubt the amount of prolong solitude I've experienced is not healthy, the feeling of loneliness is the least of my concerns when chronic isolation can increase chances of early death by 45% (shortens life span) and weakened immunity with other serious physical & mental adverse health effects even greater than obesity :/ The good side is I prefer to be alone and I am more productive, efficent, successful and creative alone too even if I feel lonely sometimes. |

| Not very. I live with family, I'm close with some of my coworkers, and I have an active social life. Granted, I'm lonely in the romantic department, but in other aspects of life, no. |

| I'm somewhat lonely when I only see friends once a month, which I've been active about making sure I see them more often. I felt the most lonely when I was dating someone who couldn't stand being alone and was always with friends if he wasn't with me. Seeing the difference, how he had people who he could call at any time and they'd be hanging out five minutes later, I felt jealous and very, very alone. Now that I'm not with him, I'm perfectly content sitting at home, doing my own thing, and seeing friends once or twice a week (because they're dorming at college whereas I'm not). |
| Well... I have a rather loving family, a couple of good friends, if watching anime and reading manga counts as a hobby then there's that too, and yet I've never felt more empty. This feeling that I'm missing something important keeps growing inside me day by day... Which reminds me, a while ago I had a dream where a buddhist monk told me that something was dead inside of me... and even though I can somewhat feel what he meant I can't really find my words to describe what this something is. tl;dr : just the fact that I'm talking about me in this thread should a proof of my loneliness. |
