| Noticed the action in this show is a bit romanticized. I mean, who brings swords to a gunfight? I can't deny everything is really well animated for a series made in 2003, Madhouse and this show's committee really went all out. You can tell the amount of passion and dedication put into the atmosphere and expressions |

| Since Raffia can be used to transplant organs between humans, I'm guessing there's an upper class that's making use of that to improve or prolong their lives, probably those "beyond the gate". It might explain why so many people are getting their limbs cut off in Lukuss. Using a massive generator to simulate a day & night cycle is a pretty nice touch. |

Texhnolyze fans watching paint dry |
| Ichise actually did something near the end of the episode, which is astounding. He inevitably got knocked out again once the rest of the gang suddenly teleported behind him, so it's probably back to square one with the heavy breathing and stumbling about, but at least I know he can do more than that now. |

Lukus' dawning. just really like this bit, every time 2. the talk about the city folks' eyes changing back when there was no dawn for days is important for later purposes. our narrator hints that it wasn't the first time their eyes became like this, hinting at an ancient event... 3. Doc and Yoshii aren't originally from Lukus or Gabe, but they're not from the same place. Doc came from "behind the doors", the class; Yoshii descended from Heaven 4. correlation between Rafia and the white flowers, not unintentional; Rafia is also the fuel for Doc's transhumanism; Rafia is important for the story [the important things in this series are treated so matter-of-factly that seems only subtext] 5. I never realised this one, but it's implied that Doc interfers with Ichise's brawling with the Organo guys. it doesn't seems like she controls his Texhnolyze, but she activates something - again that's important for later events 6. Ichise fails to punch the guy with his Texhnolyzed arm and instead beats him with his human arm. obvious symbolic statement for a character that is Will to live/Pure instinct in a transhumanist tale |
| I kept seeing ppl mention this place being underground with how this person at this plant works the artificial sunlight which confused me but reading some dialogue back in like ep 1 and 2 makes sense. Didnt recall this stuff. Prolly cause this show makes me lose interest at times. In ep 1 and 2, the old man talking to Yoshii basicallys says like you came down the hole and "You said you came down from the surface" and that it took Yoshii 4 days to travel downstairs. I guess i was thinking of other stuff cuz in this ep, the man at this plant mentioned the people up in the Mountain. It now dawns on me...pun intended...that after the man says their work is very important, it cuts to the light being turned on and and light flooding the streets of this Lukus. |

| Ichise finally got his revenge on the guy who got his limbs. The conversation between Kazuho and the doc was interesting, curious to see what's coming next. |
