I don't think Arima planned to go easy on anyone. He proved his worth many times already including this final chapter with his deduction. Well, I think this series is over now and honestly, this was underwhelming.

This series was over a long time ago and it was just a web comic, i don't know what you expected from it.

The art style isn't bad, but I thought it could have been better at times.

I thought it was great that we got to see a rather human side of Arima and his relationship with Fura.

I wanted to see a more in-depth look in to Arima's mind and past. Guess it's going to be in :re.

Seeing how Fura aged... I want to know how old Arima is. He still looks like he's in his 20's.

He should be in his late 20s or early 30s, I suppose. Or he is some kind of experiment and he just ages really slowly XD But I don't like that idea.

I found what fura said about arima's age a bit suspicious.

Well, and so Arima's highschool life was interesting.
And so Fura became an investigator at the end (I think).

Well, the last chapter was interesting, compared to the others.
It ended nice, but a bad background.

meh. Arima is still a mystery, we just saw him being an op in his younger days.

A lot of people misunderstand that the Jack of the story is actually Taishi, it's HIS backstory not Arima's. Arima is just a plot-device to keep things moving.

Otherwise it'd have been called TG: King in keeping with the meanings behind the cards. Juuzou is extremely powerful but unpredictable, which is why he's the Joker, where a Arima is pure unyielding power demonstrated by the King. The Jack however is a direct servant under the King, in this case, Arima's subordinate and aid, which he remains even to this day.

Gotta remember, Ishida loves Card based symbolism be it via Tarot numbers or card suits, or even flower names, to hide subtle characterization hints.

just had to comment that I LOVED the art style.
it's like pixiv lol.

if the art is too detailed I often don't enjoy the fighting scenes as much. less is more in this case I guess. in the main manga it's often so detailed that I get overwhelmed.

It’s really nice that he became a first class investigator and married Aki, this is the only thing to do with Tokyo Ghoul I’ve seen that has a happy ending.

This was a good story, and although I didn't like the art at first, it slowly grew on me and I started to like it more an more. Well done, Ishida!

Surprisingly this is worse than the anime. Truly a redundant story to Tokyo Ghoul. 3/10.
