| Do not watch berserk. It is incredibly cheesy with crappy animation. You are doing yourself a huge disservice. Just read the manga, it's infinitely better. |

The dialogue is cheesy and the art style is inconsistent, the animation is downright crap and it removes things that were present in the manga. |

| I watched the anime before reading the manga. Once I began, I couldn't stop watching. The first volume of the manga is very poorly drawn - basically, it took me more to get into the manga. Because of the anime, I could enjoy the manga later. If handling different mediums with one content doesn't bother you, the anime totally worths the time. |

| Berserk anime>manga Manga has too much pointless violence and the plot after awhile isn't that gripping and the pacing is utterly gutted by the crap release schedule and the fact that some chapters are short enough to work in a weekly magazine. The nice and detailed art isn't enough to make up for my misgivings with the series the series anymore. As far as adapting the Golden Age arc, the anime was fine. The cuts might have made it impossible for a continuation (Skull Knighjt), but the core of the story wasn't less functional because of it |

Try to scroll as far down as possible before replying if you prefer to keep your eyes open. 4. Report said signature for being offensive to the eyes. 5. See he is active in thread, scroll through thread while trying not to have eyes burned, sigh, click back & lose interest. 6. Move to another part of MAL forums where he does not visit. | If you don't mind doing both, do both. Watch first though. Then the films if you feel like it. The CGI's pretty bad, but it's tolerable. Then read the manga from the start. |
