The brain part just means that decay in the dead brain messes with Trap's control, while its far easier to overtake a "healthy" brain. So those who died and were zombified are "imperfect" due to decay interfering with Trap's power, while those who were alive when zombified - well their healthy cellular structure and no decay makes her power work real well. Hence why Bambi is a shadow of her former self in terms of power, yet shows shades of identity, while Hitsugaya is op as fuck, yet there's no "Hitsugaya" in there. |

| I know people (myself included) have complained a lot about nobody dying in the war, but I'm really gonna riot if Yumichika and/or Ikkaku die. Same if Mayuri somehow finds a way to bring Hitsugaya's consciousness back while experimenting on him (cause he sure as fuck will get to experiment on him). |

The bromance between them is genuinely enjoyable, and their characterization done without fault. Their deaths would really leave a pretty big hole in the cast of the series, me thinks. And Yumichika was just about to activate his real Shikai even though Ikkaku was there, and he's been dishing out Kido attacks for a while now. Really shows how dire the situation is if he's disregarding 11th division battle conventions so openly. |

If memory serves, didn't he and I believe Rangiku go train with someone (don't remember with who) after he had his bankai stolen? Granted that he had enough time to do any really effective training, part of his increased competency could have come from that. |

| Bleach is getting good again and I love when Bleach is good and getting recognition, it makes me happy! Hitsugaya as a zombie was damn badass, much more effective in battle than regular Hitsugaya! I hope Ikkaku and Yumichka aren't dead, Ikkaku is one of my favourite characters in the series! Wow, I'm surprised Kubo is going in and Bleach has been damn interesting lately, I can't wait for the anime to come back! I'm really looking forward to the upcoming chapters, things are heating up in Bleach and I'm loving it! BLEACH IS GETTING GOOD AGAIN FOLKS! Great chapter. |

He went to a dojo to retrain himself in the basics of swordsmanship, so his increased competency isn't a result of that, as he was also dishing out sizable attacks of Hyorinmaru as well in this chapter. It's just his innate potential that he always had which is surfacing. I don't know why people are so surprised though. Iceboy has always been pitted against top-tier characters in Bleach (Gin, Aizen, Harribel, Bazz B) which was why he always seemed underwhelming since he was outclassed. But against two high lieutenant to low captain level Shinigami like Ikkaku and Yumichika, it shouldn't be too shocking that he'd absolutely stomp them. The kid ain't weak, he's just had the wrong opponents and mindset until now. On another note though, Toshiro should be thankful for his lack of consciousness because Mayuri is about to go full on mad scientist on him. And we all know he'll probably win because troll hax. He's gonna do it while talking trash about Hitsugaya and Giselle and bringing in the major disrespect. |

| If I thought for a second that Ikkaku and Yumichika were in danger of actually dying then I might care about what happene dto them but thuv already been critically injured by the stupid wrestler dude before. However the fact that Hitsugaya is still technically alive just goes to show that no one on the side of good will die. Hitsuagya actually being dead would imo be so much more impactful especially if you have him go against Matsumoto and Hinamori instead as these two girls have an emotional attachment with him, the sternritter could exploit this until they ultimately resolve to kill him to end his suffering then you do a big finale and have Matsumoto and Hinamori finally get Bankai. Instead Hitsugaya is fighting Mayuri who will simply kill the sternritter and Hitsugaya will go back to normal and we'll have 4 useless villains revived for a "zombie fight" as the result of it, instead of something emotional and enticing and interesting. This is so much wasted potential imo. |
| It was an amazing chapter, just like the recent ones, in my opinion. I don't really care that much about Ikkaku and Yumichika. I think they're awesome characters, but I'm just not that fond of them. Then there's Toshiro. Now, I'm an huge Toshiro fan, so I really want him to come back. I'm sure there's still the possibility with Kurotsuchi.. But I'm really excited for the next chapter, 'cause Kurotsuchi is going mad scientist & I'm just really nervous and curious about what's going to happen to Toshiro. No matter what happens, I have a feeling the next chapter will be pretty awesome. |
