| gon really went to the badass way, i hope it won't effect his life too much. i actually wanted to see how gon will react to palm's appearance, too bad they didn't showed it. so mureum is dead, i hope they won't find a way to cure him and also, won't tell it to pitou and mess with gon's resolution. |

| kinda just looks like a Relic (because they were in a tomb ) and not the king. If they can survive that intense heat and walk around in lava , I don't see why the king can't either. I maybe wrong idk. lol. Gon just dont give af anymore . been enjoy these so much, it's soon gana be over :(( |

| What is this pacing... I swear I just started the episode a few minutes ago. Am I just that subconsciously invested in it all? Which is ironic because the reason I dropped this before was because I was actually getting bored of this arc. Idk what it is, but I can definitely say that this episode just flew by like that. I watched it up until the last episode in dub, and it was a really good dub. But now, hundreds of anime later, and now watching the sub of this, I can say that this is something special. The voice acting here is what I'd say to be in a whole level above your typical sub voice acting. I think I watched the dub back then because I actually thought it fit the characters better, especially Hisoka lol |

But during my first rewatch, I loved it. The episodes just flew by. I have seen a lot of people say that they appreciate Chimera Ant Arc more after rewatching it. If and when you rewatch, I hope you like HxH as much as, and even more than, you do now! |

| Random musings after reading 8+ pages of comments: 1) I like Gon's transformation in this arc. A lot of shows have characters that "rubberband" back to their baseline traits no matter how much PTSD they should actually have, so I appreciate that Gon and Knov have changed in response to their experiences. 2) The corpse looked a lot more like Netero than Meruem to me, but them looking alike would really drive home the point that humans and ants are not all that different from one another. 3) I have no issue with a bomb taking out Meruem if he's truly defeated, and I also don't mind that it was their last resort given dropping it on the palace 50 episodes ago could have caused civilian casualties. What is problematic, however, is that Leorio should have dropped the bomb from a helicopter since he's the best character on the show and is woefully underutilized. 4) Komugi looks a lot better with her hair down, but hopefully she gains a Nen ability that stops her nose from running. 5) I am beyond ready for this arc to be over. In my opinion, there's no narrative reason it needed 60+ episodes to tell its story. Was anyone begging for a fight between Leol and Morel, for example? What about an inordinate amount of screentime for Ikalgo? This arc has just been so bloated that I don't even know how to score the show as a whole since nearly half of its runtime has been dedicated to Gon seeking revenge for the death of a guy he just met. |

| Not a fan of Gon's anger here. Again it felt completely out of place. Threatening to kill Kumogi while Pitou, the one who can literally snap his head before a finger snap, is scared of a kid. |

| Netero basically built a new hell there. Is Meruem really dead? Pouf's expression reminded me of Light's expression in Death Note when his identity was revealed. It was very expressive but also funny. Gon really shows his "evil" side here. Although again, his anger and frustration are justified. I see a lot of people on other platforms saying he's a hypocrite, well maybe he is, but what he does has a basis. I don't condone all of his actions but everything he did was understandable. Dear Knuckle... you're asking what Gon and Killua went through to think that way? They had to deal with some spiders in Yorknew. Now I miss Kurapika and Leorio. |
