It's a reskinned AoButa but without the comedy (yes i know this came out first)

the runtime is often spent on needless back and forths and moments that left me asking what is the point of all this pandering. im also not fond of these kind of anime that draw the feel of "the cast are the only humans on the planet" either.

Gintama (atleast S1) is full of inconsistencies

An episode can deliver the funniest and most clever jokes I've ever seen in television. Then the next 3 can be bland subplots amounting to nothing entertaining, or vice versa. Not to mention the anime is quite mediocre until about 30 episodes in.

Genuinely hilarious. I didn't think I would like it, thought it 'wouldn't age well' etc., but it's rare I run into a dull episode with this anime. Even at it's lows it still maintains its unreplicable charm. I honestly find Urusei Yatsura funnier than Gintama.

uses themes and an archaic setting that it doesn't explore to disguise itself as "deep" but is instead a dreadfully bland love story with stale emotional bait. anime of the year!!!1!

Strange the first season is so short since nothing has really developed yet. Theres too many characters to try and get me attached to this early. Also some of them can be quite unlikeable

Better season but some episodes are really dull. Tournament arc and Stain carries the season. After that it really falls off especially in the final episodes. As time goes on more and more characters fall deeper into irrelevancy and the school stuff is tiresome. I couldn't even finish s3 the series just gets unbearable

season 1's job is solely to set up season 2

Every episode took the plot somewhere absolutely captivating while exploring new amazing backstories and further showcasing the ingenious prowess of Fyodor and Dazai> All while being masterfully adapted as always

didnt expect to like it but this was a fun watch

Very high 8. I've never seen a character absolutely put the writing strength for the entire series ON HIS BACK like Lelouch has. He is leagues upon leagues better than the next best character is. Who is the next best character in Code Geass? Doesn't matter. This is the Lelouch show, and dare I say it's incredible.

One of the most riveting crafts of entertainment I've seen in my life. The one thing that holds it back is the origin of geass powers and lore being a bit sloppy and glossed over.

I loved this so much that i couldn't tell that most of the filler arcs were filler. Strangely enough, my one reason for giving this anime a 9 instead of the big 10 is I just wish it could've ran longer.. D.Gray-man it didn't hit that "peak" level for me until what happens afterwards in the manga. DONT WATCH HALLOW PLEASE READ THE MANGA

I was giving last season the benefit of the doubt since it was the beginning, but the arcs this season are awful and never entertaining. Every character is a perpetuation of a different anime cliche. The mc is a horrendous excuse for a character

Kurumi is the only character i like, but this ep feels kind of flat since it wasnt even the real her but one of her clones

When you minimize your expectations some of it becomes almost bearable.

Was gonna be a 4/10 but origami arc wasnt bad

How I see fire force is it's the spitting image of "being really good... but not the best"

it appears you need Kara no Kyoukai and extensive magecraft knowledge to fully understand the ending on your own. i guess everything preceding the ending was cool. i can't really pick out a reason for one of these movies being being better than another in the trilogy

every fight ends in a cliffhanger. most of the time no meaningful story progression is happening

this half of the story had way better plot direction and the twist + depth of archer is actually really fire. after hearing archer's backstory i will never listen to Brave Shine the same...

this was the only part of the VN i played so its nice to see it adapted so well

episodes are hit or miss in overall interest. everything in this anime happens god-awfully slow they will literally drag out a 2 minute explanation for 8+ mintues. so much for a "war" when everyones just monologuing at eachother all the time

regardless of whatever you may have heard about this anime, 80% of it IS just a typical mediocre SoL. It holds back its punches when it comes to anything else it tries. also probably the most watered-down monster media ive ever seen

basically 0 plot but the comedy is just that good

its main issue is it prioritizes the mc's discomfort over being funny. even for a comedy its quite one-dimensional

part 1: 4/10

part 2: 6/10 but I'll still give it a 6 overall because I like how the parts correlate

fun fact: my jojo binge consisted of 126 episodes in one month

Many of the villains were mid but I enjoy the feel and vibe of this part so much

again just same issue of more mid villains that feel like filler.

the first half of part 3 is basically a strong start with a middling end, and the second half is a middling start with a strong end. also dio is so fucking funny

took like 21 episodes for the plot to kick in.

the comedy isnt on the same level as part 3

To this day I still rate part 7 above this one only SLIGHTLY. The characters, the motives, the plot, the stands, its all there. The one setback being it just ends so abruptly. The climax we spent so long building up to was underwhelming and the story wrapped itself up really fast, This was an issue in the Part 5 manga as well.. unfortunate that more wasn't added to it in the adaptation.

Many deep meanings and cultural easter eggs, but the story itself is rushed. Kyousougiga demands multiple rewatches, or for you to go read/watch someone's analysis online in order to get value out of it's story. I'm not a fan of those kinds of franchises

Megalo Box is an experience. You don't watch it the same way you would watch other sports shounen. The music and atmosphere is the big seller for me.

Before season 2 was announced I had this POV of the ending being questionable. My thought at the time was that it would've been more poetic if Joe died in his last fight.

Dropped for the manga. The art style just feels like plastic in the anime.

First season was funny but now this is like telling the same joke 2 weeks later and expecting it still to be funny. The chuunibyou jokes just feel awkward now. This really didn't need a sequel season.
