Synopsis

The Team Rocket leader, Giovanni, has found Mewtwo in a remote area of the Johto region. As Giovanni tries to re-capture Mewtwo, Ash and his friends are kidnapped by Domino, a new Team Rocket member, while trying to rescue Pikachu from Jessie and James. The Clone Pokemon are also captured and are then used as bait for Mewtwo. The situation then becomes a battle between the wills of Mewtwo and Giovanni; and Mewtwo also tries to discover if it and the clones have a purpose in life, even though they are products of science.

A good continuation to the first Pokémon movie; they stick to the same themes, music and type of art.

The plot is good, but perhaps a bit weaker than in the first installment.

Same themes are rolled back and forth, over and over: do the copied, cloned Pokémon share the same rights as their original versions? Where do the clones belong? Will they ever be able to live in peace?

As good as that idea is, being repeated over and over really kills it. We got it the first time, now let's move on.

A good watch, definitely worth it. Goes flawlessly with the first movie.

This might have been the first Pokemon movie I ever saw. Which, must have been abit confusing for me when I first watched it, since this is kind of a sequel to another Pokemon movie. But, honestly, the movies made up most of the Pokemon watching I ever did(I was more into collecting the cards), other than afew episodes which I was able to watch. My review may not be 100% accurate, since it was quite afew years ago that I watched it, and I watched the English version, which might have been mildly edited, even though I doubt it. So, this is where I read more

A mediocre TV special.
The death knell was the storyline. After witnessing an epic revenge plot, an epic quest to save the world, and an epic complex story about the Unown, having a plot be a generic "Guy wants to capture Pokemon" plot was extremely underwhelming, and it didn't engage me at all and had several plot holes.

But it wasn't all bad! Mewtwo remained an amazing villain, and his dialogue was outstanding. The animation was good, especially the great ending, and the fights were good throughout (no knock your socks off ones like most of the movies though). There was also some funny bits.

But as read more
