Synopsis

Every morning, incoming first-year Taiki Inomata hurries to his high school gym in order to further refine his badminton skills. However, his true motivation stems from sharing the otherwise empty gym with second-year Chinatsu Kano, Taiki's crush and the star player of the girls' basketball team. Although Chinatsu seems unapproachable, Taiki gradually finds opportunities to get to know her little by little.

Unbeknownst to Taiki, his tireless work ethic and admiration motivate Chinatsu to work harder and strive to achieve her greatest ambitions. When her family must suddenly move overseas for work, Chinatsu decides to remain in Japan and shoot for victory at the national level. With nowhere to stay, she is taken in by Taiki's mother, who is longtime friends with Chinatsu's own. Overwhelmed with the new reality of living alongside the girl he loves, Taiki resolves to join Chinatsu at the national level in his own sport—and grow closer to her in the process.

Still, despite being good enough to catch his coach's eye, Taiki must fight an uphill battle to qualify for a spot on the starting team. Cheered on by both Chinatsu and gymnast Hina Chouno, his childhood friend, Taiki aims to make a name for himself among his powerful upperclassmen.

There was Blue Lock, Blue Bird, Grand Blue, Perfect Blue, Blue Archive and now it's time for Blue Box xD

I had quite high expectations for this anime, I generally don't like romances but I was ready to appreciate this anime because it seemed to me that it would be something really special and well... I was a little disappointed but it's not bad.........

So... a bit of a typical, shy boy falls in love with the most popular (thanks to playing basketball) and prettiest girl in school, of course she is single and no one else hits on her (despite her popularity) and everything works ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (19/25 eps)
Blue Box is an interesting sports-romance anime that caught my attention when it aired.

Story:
The story was well written at first especially around the first half (eps 1-12), but I'm lost that now I'm watching the second half. The sports aspect is shown throughout the show, but not as much as the romance. The romance is written as your generic love triangle with our MC Taiki and the two main girls Chinatsu and Hina. So although I did love some parts of the writing, it's definitely not as special as I thought.

Animation:
No doubt this animation is definitely one of the best. The characters look stunning throughout ...

Preliminary (12/25 eps)
blue box was categorized under two genres Romance and Sports.
Its honestly hard for an anime focusing on these both genres equally, so author has to pick a core genre and revolve other one around it. and blue box chose to pick romance as main driving part with some sprinkles of sports elements.
While the anime had a great start, and feels promising, soon it turns out as romance anime with a love triangle and a lot of misunderstanding between characters and it feels generic and boring to watch.

I personally think it could have been turned great if they focused more on sports part more while having ...
